If you look at earlier threads, everyone was pulling for this kid to succeed. We were all happy that a player with his skill set landed in our lap at the 16th pick.

In hindsight what we've all come to understand is that Royce White bluffed his way through the pre-Draft interviews and didn't let on about:
    A) how bad his illness really was.
    B) the special 'protocols' that would need to be in place in order for him to play.
    C) his demands that would be issued once he was drafted and drawing a pay check.
    D) his immaturity.

Imagine if during the pre-Draft interviews he would have said that he needs a bus/RV to games, that he needs a safe workplace protocol put in place before he comes to practice & he is not allowed to be sent to the D-League...who would've drafted this big #Oompf?

For someone who Tweets constantly about #Transparency he has been anything but Transparent.

At this point, I'd much rather have taken a chance on PJIII, Zeller, Wroten, Moultrie, Ezeli, or even Fab Melo.

I still think some blame should be put on his college coach, Fred Hoiberg. He vouched for Royce White before the draft. To me it looks like Hoiberg used (abused?) the past relationship he had with McHale when both were with the Timberwolves to get one of his players drafted in the first round of the NBA. Hoiberg owes the Rockets a mid-first round draft pick.

This guy didn't even attend McHale's funeral? What an inconsiderate prick.

I don't think that they want him any where near the team at the moment. The last thing anyone would want is for someone to go to the funeral & make themselves the centre of attention, or have an 'attack' of some sort.

It's best that he be left to his Tweeting Tirades and seeing his doctors.

The issue people have isn't with Royce's condition per se. It's him accusing others of treating him unfairly and making demands he hasn't earned.

actually making it nearly impossible for NBA teams to draft those players in the future unless they are hiding it and not being transparent and honest

    Have they hospitalized him yet?

His illness is obviously so devastating that he is unable to get by as a functional adult.

Get this man some help now (and not the voodoo stuff he's been getting up until now)!

Someone is going to say it, so i might as well....he doesn't have to earn accommodations for his illness, he should be automatically getting them, which is one of his points.

However, he shouldn't be sitting out out every single team activity waiting for them, and he needs to be realistic about what an NBA team can and can't accommodate.

I've kept quiet on this until now, but this definitely seems to have passed the point of no return.

Maybe they'll just shelf him for the season. Maybe worse. But at this point, given the logjam at his position in the first place, there seems to be little reason for optimism.

I fully understand and get the bolded part above

but if one of these accommodations is playing time -- thats where the line is drawn -- every player has to earn their playing time it is not just given to them, especially as a rookie.

I recommend Electroconvulsive therapy for this nut case...even that may not be effective treatment...
