Since 1986...the lowest top-scorer searchable on basketball-reference is 8 points (in 2004) -- and gets this, it's shared by 6 Nuggets in the same game.

    Carmelo
    Voshon Leonard
    Camby
    Boykins
    Rodney White
    Jon Barry

EDIT: merrrlo noticed there was actually 6 nuggets tied. I first posted only 5.

I'm almost certain that Gentry is trying to lose these.

Don't know for sure. I couldn't find one where the leading scorer didn't have at least 10 points.

In these games, the leading scorer had 10 points.

Yeah I'd still trade Lin for Dragic. He's had multiple nights with worst statlines than dragon tonight.

Jesus Christ, what is going on with the Suns? I don't know what direction they're going in. Is it tanking and rebuilding because they are picking up old players like Scola and Oneal. Or are they trying to be a playoff team because they sucks.

The Suns this summer is confusing. I don't think anyone know what direction they wanted to go. I guess they really wanted Eric Gordon and was planning to build around him but ever since the Hornets matched, they looked like a chicken running around with its head cut off...

I really wanted Scola to sign with a playoff team. He deserves it for all the hard work he's done.

Alas, your Google skills are much more advanced than your box score checking skills, though - you missed Jon Barry, who also scored 8 points :p

So it's six players leading the team with 8 points... wow.

Thanks for looking it up by the way.

The Suns have a case of Moreynitis. Aiming for that coveted 14th pick we've been getting so far. Unfortunately, their efforts seem to be for naught, since Morey despite flirting with playoffs(Dwight Howard) and then top-3 lottery land, has landed Houston in prime position for that pick once again. :)

I didn't see the game, but what a weird stat line! Beside Dragic playing only 16 minutes (why??), Scola fouled out. How often does that happen? Sounds like it would have been an ugly game to watch, unless you're a Detroit fan.

Really not sure what's wrong. They have a good PG in Dragic, and Scola/Gortat is a fairly good PF/C pairing, with good offense, rebounding and blocked shots.

Dudley is a good defender, and Beasley is a very good scorer (if not much else).

That seems like a fairly balanced starting 5 (now messed up), and Morris, Brown, J O'Neil and Telfair is a solid 4 guys to round out the rotation. A good balance of youth and experience also.

Not great, but you would've thought they'd be more competitive.

Is it the curse of Beasley? Gortat b****ing impacting chemistry? Coaching?

    That's called balanced attack.

Now heypartner, your next Google search should be "the most leading scorers for a team in a game."

BTW, the Suns are going to take the Rockets' place at #14. That's the Luis Scola "He look OK" curse.

Blasting your team in the press for not playing hard when you're not even starting your starters...collecting the scalp of a promising guard who should be learning under you and Dragic instead...yeah, I'm pretty sure Gentry should be fired, unless the goal really is to lose basketball games without making the tank look so obvious.

I had no idea PJ Tucker came back into the league. Good for him. I thought he'd be a solid player coming out of college.

And why only 16 minutes for Dragic? He only had 3 fouls.
