My question is, why keep force feeding Harden if he's having a bad game? Why not let Lin have some PnRs? I'm talking about the first half. I'm assuming the guys are doing what the coaches want of them.

Well Lin did pass out of double team to the big man for layups a few times but he passed to the guy around the perimeter way too often. As much as I love Lin he doesn't handle the ball pressure well in this kind of situation, an elite PG would at least try to keep the dribble alive while scanning the court for opportunities, Lin needs to further improve his handles for sure.

Harden? Nope, same old Harden we saw in the finals.

Well Durant can be slow down if Parsons was guarding him and the Rockets have another player shadowing Durant like they were doing to Harden. I was really agitated because Morris and Cook keep leaving Durant wide open... Seriously, I know Morris wanted to play some help defense but you don't leave a guy like KD alone. Cook is just lazy sometimes on defense.

Ibaka can be guarded. He was taking wide open 15 foot jumpshots the entire night. No one was near him when he was taking those shots. That's what happens when the defense is focused on KD and Westbrook. If you put a body on Ibaka, he's not going to be that much of a threat offensively. Just box him out from getting offensive rebounds, even though he went over the back a few times and the refs just totally ignored it.

Because Harden needs to figure it out. He's not the 3rd option anymore he's supposed to be the franchise player. He needs to learn how to deal with this.

1 game? No problem. If it takes him 10 games? So be it.

Without Parsons we were screwed before the game began. That's how important he is to this team. Also, what was Cook, who played much better than I expected, btw, doing starting over Morris? That had me baffled. Still has me bewildered. Bewildered and baffled, that's me.

Can we play some other team next, please? Someone check the schedule.

Utah is on saturday. Should be a good game. Delfino likely back & Parsons hopefully healthy & harden no longer sick. Hopefully no more injuries from now until then. I think we can take Utah.

Perhaps they wanted Cook to handle the ball which he did a few times and see what he could do, because most of the time when Harden or Lin had the ball they were getting double teamed. I didn't like how Cook played overall. Yes, he scored, but he made some dumb mistakes that cost us.

Me 2. I'd rather have Morris to gain some valuable experience.

We will play Utah on Saturday.

Didn't expect a win at all b/c Parsons was out. Parsons is a HUGE part of our team. WE needed him to counter KD's greatness, which was on full display tonight.

    Onto another one.

    I hate losing, point blank.

But we lost today to the Full Strength defending Western Conference Champions, when we were without Parsons, Delfino & Aldrich. Our guys played a game after just attending a funeral for the head coaches daughter, who is the same age as most of the guys on our team. Not only was the team tired, but imagine the emotions running through their mind?

Plus OKC has Kevin Durant, he is a superstar.

No one should be upset with this game given the circumstances. Actually you should be happy that OKC found our backcourt such a threat that they needed to double Rush Hour 4. And Westbrook didn't go Ham. Harden deserves at least a few bad games having given us so much already.

Ok after celebrating Durant's win I've kind of analyzed a bit of what really was the X-Factor in losing tonight.

There are many things that contributed to this lost, but I think the biggest one of all is the threat of the Bigs and Smalls Forwards. I've stated many times in this thread that Lin and Harden are being shut down with doubles near half court and even triples going into 3pt to FT line. I believe that Ppat, Asik and Cook all had high scores tonight thanks to this. There were so many funny moments where a man was just left wide open even in the paint and OKC didn't even care and let him shoot.

One thing I notice is that OKC, especially Ibaka is confident that even if they go double team or switch D leaving 1 man open, they'll still be able to recover back to normal D on time because the other positions are not too much of a offensive threat. Cook and Ppat also doesn't help when they are always looking for 3pts/spot ups instead of post games and dunks. Did you all notice that at the 4th quarter, when Ppat was adding in some dunks and post play, the double team broke apart for a while?

What we truly needed tonight is a big man who can beat people on the recovery. People even like Faried would do. Just rambo and dunk so the defender recovering has no chance to recover back. Parson of course will be our quick SF that can beat defense on recovery off the quick dribble.

We are truly lacking intensity near the rim. Imagine how much more respect we'll get if we had 5 back to back slam dunks because our backcourt is getting double teamed. I bet OKC would have been easily shaken. But right now people just don't care about anyone else but our backcourt. It was good that Parsons had great games so now he's also getting respect leaving our backcourt open. But you can see a big difference with him gone and defense start to crowd around our backcourts again.

    Just my 2 cents :)

I hope it is negative. Otherwise start Morris.

Thank goodness, we have some time off. I hope your right and we get everyone back and healthy. A couple of practices wouldn't hurt, either. As for Cook, maybe this game will pay off down the road. I doubt that we would have had a chance with Morris starting anyway, and Cook will probably not get minutes like that in a game again for the rest of the season. Maybe this game will help Cook's confidence. It'll be weird getting Delfino back, it's been so long. I hope he's effective when he does get to play. He's yet to make much of an impression on me.

But he needs to adjust if he's not shooting well. That's what he should learn. He was not passing the ball quick enought when he got double. I know he wants to score, but when it's too difficult he needs to adjust. That's what he needs to learn.

Hopefully Chandler is okay, but he shouldn't rush back cause it could worsen the injury. I really hope it is just a bone bruise.
