SAS is the Rush Limbaugh of the NBA. Or maybe he's the Glemn Beck, not quite sure yet. Either way, this is what they pay him for. To say dumb, controversial stuff and be an opinionated loud mouth. That his opinions have little basis in reality isn't really the point, rather like Limbaugh and Beck.

SAS has a really unhealthy obsession with Jeremy Lin. What did Lin ever do to him?

If it was a 'black' contract, it would be fine. Anybody get up to play Kwame?

i agree with this to a certain extent, it seems like white and black people can agree on popular american sports such as football and basketball. its kinda like a cliquish thing that azns, and other ethnicity's are looked upon as the other.with baseball, boxing, soccer etc. its not so much like that because these are more diverse sports.

as far as what jeremy said: he does stand out because he's asian, and im sure he has been targeted during his basketball career for being asian even BEFORE linsanity. although when linsanity happened, it was the cinderella story+ that cinderella being an atypical asian player. i think the big contract also has a negative effect, but i think what people are missing is that he is famous now on top of all these things. lin is one of the most recognized nba players on the planet right now, and other players know that and are going to give it 110% every time they play him.the stars in this league have to deal with this night in and night out. kobe, lebron, durant etc. all get played against at the highest lvl each time they hit the court because of their name. being azn is just apart of the bigger reason why they play him hard, now its more about his name(an asian one at that) than him simply being an asian player. thats what changed for lin after linsanity.

its like this: first he was just an azn bball player that nobody wanted to get beat by. now: hes a famous player with a lot of question marks around his talent/?, and got a big contract for limited play AND hes asian.

this high level of play against him will make him better,he just needs to get back into shape. i dont think he is where he was at last season, but i have noticed he is getting a lot better. he looks more quicker, and a bit smoother.

Wait a second, where does this BIG contract come from? I thought he is paid the average starting PG salary, and plays like that right now.

I honestly don't understand why people in the black community(especially the sports community)feel the need to put down athletes of other races. Why are they so selfish and narrow-minded? Think how many fans in China celebrate Lebron James and Michael Jordan. Think how the annual Chinese reports on American human rights always side with African Americans for their struggling.

    This is a joke right?

Kwame is one of the biggest laughing stocks in the league.

im a short brown guy and i can tell you that both whites and blacks have underestimated my athletic ability in multiple sports. i boxed competitively since i was 15, its not just a black thing. its all relative to where you are. im sure in other countries where there is a popular sport, lets say cricket in india. im sure the indians would look at an atypical player of another skin tone with skepticism.

What about Yao Ming? I don't think people made a big deal about him because he was Asian. He was a great player and if he didn't get injured would have been in the Hall of Fame in my opinion.

I think Lin is a different case though. I agree, people are ranting and raving about him because he is Asian, not because of basketball and that's why people are annoyed. He isn't a star player yet he get's treated like one by the media. Stephen A Smith is right, he's an average player but if you say that you are automatically dissing him or being a "hater" (word that's overused by 12 year old girls all across America) when in reality, being an average player isn't a bad thing.

Man, I've been buried in the books, on top of that, I thought it was a good idea to take a Saturday class that starts at 9 a:m. So, I really have no time to go out and party and if I do, I'll be going to class hungover or not going to class at all. Next semester I'll be able to go out more and party with you fellas a little bit more often.

I think the 15 million on the last year of the contract stands out to everyone.
