They don't care mang. We've never watched basketball before and just watch the scoreboard. I've never played basketball at any level either. I have no idea how this game works.
Our sole purpose is to just hate on Jeremy Lin.
Lol, relax dude. I like Lin but it doesn't mean that I cannot criticize him when he is not playing well. Please don't think that all the LOF are all delirious or obnoxious. We can have a normal discusion too.
If you look at my history, I'm usually always critical of Lin but tonight I thought it was one of his better games against a team that is probably the favorite to win the west. OKC's defense and offense is top notch vs a young inexperience team sooooooooo....
well he played well tonight. He flew all over the court on d....steals, rebounds and held westbrook to what 6 or 8 against him?...and he 3 of 7.... he had no space to shoot, he was doubled all night....
That moment where you use a hyperbole to illustrate your point....only to realize its not an exaggeration...
there is actually an active lin subforum over at yaomingmania.. http://yaomingmania.com/forum/viewf...4d&PHPSESSID=2f7b0b97fee1b011691b8a92df39944d
Finally someone intelligent to engage in a meaningful bball discussion. I actually did not like how Lin played under MDA system. He was dribbling too much and he was taking way too many shots for a PG. But that's what MDA's system dictates. Lin has good court vision but he leaves his feet too often. In the past, teams were expecting him to shoot. These days teams know Lin is a pass-first PG. They close down on him but don't challenge his shots. He needs his mid-range game back badly. There are far too many reasons we lost tonight. Lin's not shooting is not one of them. Calling Lin timid and passive is not understanding the basics of basketball. Some of you guys have been watching And1 too much.
Well, you just proved that you are one of those who just come here to post after read the game stats. Lin had a good game today, more than solid. You obviously don't understand this, because the stats doesn't show that.
Ok dude. When the stats don't go his way the eye test proves he played "more than solid." When the eye test doesn't go his way the stats prove he played "more than solid."
Whatever you guys say.
His playmaking was solid but again he went back intio his shell on offense. His defense was not good on Westbrook. Westbrook was killing him off the dribble alot. He got outplayed badly by Westbrook, but nothing to be ashamed of because Westbrook is an elite point guard and Lin is not.
I am watching the game right now & this is untrue. Lin D on Russ was solid. And he was in a "shell" on offense because he was being double teamed so he passed to the open ma the smart thing to do. Forcing contested shots when being double teamed is stupid basketball. Also Westbrook had 14 points on 15 shots 9 assists & 5 TO's.
come on its no secret Lin is not playing the type of game we envisioned he would be playing for the Rox... when LOFs like me were crying because Lin was running to the corners to shoot 3s we we told we were making excuses for his poor play... thats because everything is fine when Harden is making his shots... on games when Harden is missing we are going to hear Lin isnt doing enough... well LOFs like me think Lin is being passive.... and that has a lot to do with the game plan since game one... I guess no one gives a shiet until Harden starts missing shots...
Westbrook was getting into the paint with ease. I know you love lin, but be objective. Westbrook outplayed him.
You've never seen Westbrook play have you? He's a chucker - but a chucker who tends to gets it to rain pretty often. Those were his shots. Westbrook penetrated well, too.
I have seen Westbrook play lots of times. I am a big advocate of LET WESTBROOK BE WESTBROOK. But there is a difference between being beat off the dribble & being picked off & help defense not rotating quickly. I don't think Spiegel understands the difference.
Any pg can get to the paint because of screens/pick n rolls, it's whether the defender is still in front of him or not. If Westbrook did out played him it wasn't by much. Pretty even to me.
