Harden does not have games like tonight often. These are far and few in between. You expect some bad games.

Lin has consistently been a non-factor aside from maybe 5 games I would say.

I am not sure if you understand how usage rate is calculated - hockey assists or the receivers not converting their opportunities don't show up on the usage rate. A great defensive team like OKC will take extra passes ie., Lin -> Asik -> 2Pat, etc. to penetrate their offense. Which is why these claims of Lin being a non-factor is quite ridiculous.

Check a few pages back, some jackass actually said it was only Harden who was getting double teamed.
I literally went  when I read that, lol. OKC's clear gameplan from the start was to shut down our backcourt. I guess it just shows how some people must hate him to the point where they use their selective eyesight to criticize him lol.

he probably can get into open spots. But his confidence in his shooting makes him not want to take the open shots.

What happened? You were on your knees in front of Lin last night. LOL. One game and you change your mind again? Talk about knee-jerk...

And that is the bulk of my entire issue with Lin.

Don't be a moron. He had a very good game last night and I was impressed by the fact that he had some confidence back. I didn't see that same Lin tonight. So his game tonight was pretty meh to me. I didn't think it was absolutely awful or anything, just not good.

    Confidence is fixable.

If that's his problem, we're ok.

They thought this was a game at the Y.

One thing I do like about Lin is that he rarely forces up a shot. You can't say the same about many PGs around the league.

It would be probably good if he was in New York still but not in Houston. He needs to play like he's the second option here.

Lin needed to look for his shot more tonight... no doubt about that. One FG attempt in the first half isn't going to cut it. I would have rather he went 0-8 in the first half than going 1-1. There is no reason he should take so few shots and Cook taking 18. I said this last night, Harden had a great game to help Lin beat the Knicks... Lin needed to reciprocate that effort but he didn't.

You don't have a good game when your team lost by 22 points. ;)

Lin played about as well as the rest of the team. OKC was just better. They also had a better game plan. This is where I thought Sampson could've done better.

When OKC doubled hard on our guards at mid-court, one of the forwards got to come up to receive the ball near foul line. It will open the floor up. Instead, our frontline guys just stood back and waiting for either Harden or Lin to split the double team.

    Bad in-game management.

Lin's confidence issue is simple. Unlike in NY, during Linsanity, he wasn't afraid to make a mistake or miss a shot, he knew he had D'Antoni's confidence. For whatever reason, whether it's McHale or Sampson or the media constantly talking about his TO's, he is afraid to miss a shot, even more so when the team is down and trying to come back. He has more confidence to shoot in games in which the Rockets are comfortably ahead because he knows a miss won't be critical.

God whatever. For 25 million, you could at least expect the guy to at least know what he's doing.

We didn't have Parsons, that made a big difference.

How many of the games where you say he was a 'non-factor' was he allowed the primary ball handling duties?

Even now when he's been playing well the coaches haven't been trusting him. They'd rather have parsons at the top of the key.

The responsibility and freedom he's being given are like that of a 3rd option. I'm not saying it's all on the coaches. But to pretend like what he's doing has nothing to do with the offensive game plan and the lack of trust of the coaches is equally wrong.

But it's a process. I can see Sampson trusting Lin more and more. The team as a whole is trying to figure out its identity and chemistry and that includes Lin. So it's unfair to dump the blame singly on him for that.

Except, I'm not even trying or care to be credited as a "legit Rockets fan".
No I'm not a blind supporter of any team and dont want to be. I do like to make logical and reasonable comments on undoubtedly the most exciting young NBA team in a while. I would tell you to rep that but you seem against logic and reasoning.

I don't think you properly read the post you replied to.

Last night meant the game versus the Raptors.
