Im not bashing the guy, he can do no wrong in some of these posters eyes. If someone is not playing up to par ill call that person out not just Lin..Harden had a bad game too

the fact he gets everyone involved and is a 10+ assist threat daily while hardly having the ball in his hands? credit where credit is due.

FYI, it was bumped yesterday before the game by what I take to be a LOF.

Only issue I have with Lin is he was wayyyy too passive in the first half. He had like 1 shot attempt. He's part of the reason we were in the hole that we were in, along with a host of other reasons.

I had no problem with Lin's performance tonight. The OKC's game plan tonight was to blitz our back court as soon as they cross the half court line. You really can't do much at that point indivicually no matter how aggresive you play. All you need to do is to somehow pass to your bigs in the paint who should be wide open and expect them to make everything. We actually scored a lot of points from good passes from Lin out of those quick double teams on pick n Rolls.

He also got a bunch of steals in the first half that kept us in the game.

He played a good game tonight. Played solid defense on Westbrook, did not force himself to break the double team and instead fed Asik and Patterson clean layups and dunks.

What did he do wrong tonight exactly to deserve the criticism you have been giving him? Too passive? No **** he's being double-teamed. Had he been aggressive, he wouldve lost the ball more often than not. He knows his weakspots and acknowledges that so he passes the ball to the person who has the best chance of scoring.

If it was only as simple as that. 3-16 with 3 asts isn't going to cut it even with the focusing on him excuse. Lin could of been more aggressive for sure I agree totally but he was getting the same doubled as well but at least he had a lot more asts to show for it.

What would you have Lin do in a situation where he is doubled teamed when he catches the ball up top or on the wing? You dont seem to understand that OKC's defense is very good, especially their pick-and-roll defense.

LOH are LOH. If he scores a lot, they'll be up in arms about his lack of making his teammates better and getting teammates involved. If he makes plays for his teammates and gets everyone else going, they'll say he's being passive. LOH gonna hate.

wtf? Why wouldn't I be, I'm not even a big fan of Harden, he is a rockets player and that is all. You would be surprised to hear that I am probably the least optimistic out of everyone here about how he is going to pan out.

I didn't realize the BBS was becoming so polarized, read my earlier posts I have been defending Lin. The point is I defend him like any other player, when it is unwarranted, and criticize him when it is warranted. He played too timid tonight and that is a fact.

Wow, see above post. First time I've been called a LOH. This is ridiculous.

Dude, Lin played decent tonight. We didn't lose because of him.

I've been here for 10 years and I am so shocked by all the hate Lin is garnishing.

Something tells me it is more than just coincidence that Lin is Asian.

Harden played very poorly tonight. I don't like the way he plays when he isn't getting foul calls. Too often he will just drive without purpose and throw up a prayer hoping the refs will bail him out. This is a consistent flaw he has which he needs to work on.

That beings said, a few things need to be cleared up.

    1) Harden is the focus of the offense and teams know this. So everything he does will be harder by default because teams tailor their defense to stop him. Hence why I think Harden deserves a pass often times because he's being asked to do a lot.

    2)This thread isn't about Harden.

So some of you guys actually wanted Lin to take bad shots against double team? So you can bash him for shooting poorly?

i've been saying it for a while. his race is the main reason why he gets so much hate. it won't stop either, but it is rather amusing watching the trolls lie and bait.

Im just glad there's veteran posters like you DreamWeaver who also seem aware of some so called "Rockets'!!!" fans and their strong obsession with Jeremy's struggles (even the most insignificant ones) and it's not just us 2012ers.
They call him a joke because he's not living up to his so called contract. Well no ****! you're expecting him to play like a max contract player and like to pin point every single one of his mistakes, like he's the only one that makes them.

    That's where I disagree.

That's what superstars suppose to do. You're giving Harden a pass yet you won't give Lin who's pretty much still a rookie and had a better overall game than Harden.

Personally speaking (dont know if this comment was directed towards me) I think a huge problem that Lin has is his off the ball movement. He needs to get into spots where he can get good shots when defenders focus Harden.

I've noticed when he does this the team fares a lot better as a whole.
