When parsons/delfino gets back can we please put cook in whenever they need to take lin or harden out. Seriously i get that he shoots a lot but he presents a threat to the other team. Douglas is very very seriously useless on offense and very seriously useless on defence by waving his arms around frantically and looking like he plays good defence smh. Please no more Douglas.
Cook got way over his head in this game. Delfino has moments where he attempts to iso but Cook literally isos whenever he gets to dribble the ball. Starting him this game seemed like a bad idea after all. He probably wanted to use this opportunity to get more playing time but he ends up jacking shots after shot.
Cook stunk it up. His boxscore wont show it but he just sucks. Dribbling for a long period and chuck a 3 even with a man in his face smh
He took a couple of bad shots, but most of the time he had to create because Lin and Harden got denied and couldn't get open or passed out of a trap. I like Cook. He's a serviceable role player.
cook is a marginal nba player. dougl-ass should already be out of the league. it's like choosing between a roundhouse to the shoulder and a kick to the nuts..
jacking up 3s? not handling the ball well? sounds like delfino would've done the same thing in cook's position
Im not saying either is optimal but if we had to choose as we do, giving cook spot minutes around 10 a game over Douglas would be much better. then you got a rotation of Asik/smith Patterson/morris Parsons/delfino Harden/cook Lin good 9 man rotation.
I don't mind playing Cook more....he's a good shooter but not to take the majority of the shots. I am disappointed by Terrence Jones debut. He doesn't seem to know what to do in the offense. Now i know why he didn't get minutes and Marcus Morris get the minutes in the beginning. Even though we lost to a good Thunder team, you have to remember this is a back to back game w/ the team visiting McHale and not having Delfino and Parson. And the fact that Harden didn't have a good game and the fact that we're still only down by 10 or 12 despite the fact we missed a bunch of free throws that we normally made. You get nothing but positive out of this game even though we lost.
This one is choosing between a turd sandwich and a turd salad... Hope Morey trades for a nice backup PG at the deadline.
morey got stuck with some of these scrub end of bench types by positioning/trading for harden - he will send them packing as soon as he can and refill with quality depth
Now we know why the knicks fans hated Douglas so much. I think Machado should get a go at Back up PG, but I think Sampson would be worried about the serious drop off. It's bad enough from Lin to Douglas. Might be even worse with Machado out there, but at least he would offer something on offense which is more than can be said for TD.
