Das weiße Rauschen (The White Sound) 7/10. Really gets you inside paranoid schizophrenia, Hollywood's A Beautiful Mind is a soap opera in comparison.
Daniel Brühl is one hell of an actor, just riveting in this movie. Other German movies I'd recommend with him are: Good Bye Lenin! and The Edukators, the latter by the same director and is equally a character driven, low budget movie.

    The Imposter - 9/10

Not sure if many have heard of this one, because I hadn't until recently, but it's winning tons of awards (and well deserved). It's a documentary film about a man who impersonates the identity of a missing child in order to move in with his family. Sounds crazy, but it's based on a true story, and it really is an awesome 90 minutes. Very compelling, and has some great twists throughout the movie. Shocking stuff on the subject of human nature.

HIGHLY recommend to any and all.

you say its a documentary and 'based off a true story'. I'm confused. If it is a documentary then it is a true story.

None the less I will check it out.

    Hotel Transylvania - 6/10

Would rate it a solid 3, but there was a scene near the end where they made fun of Twilight. So for that alone, I gave it a 6. bleh bleh bleh...

    Kill Bill 7.1/10

Not Tarantino's best, but it's entertaining and interesting to see because of it's strange art and cinematography. Watch both parts together, because that's how they were meant to be told, the first part standing alone isn't too great, but combined with the 2nd part it all comes together and works some how.

    Wanderlust - 6.5/10

Really thought this movie might suck, but I got a few good laughs out of it. Ken Marino (The State, Children's Hospital, Party Down) co-wrote it and included a nice little "The State" Cameo with some old cast members.

Paul Rudd to me is this generation's Ben Stiller. He's way better as a lead than in a secondary goofball role, and his insanely stupid improvisations are always hilarious.

Disappointed that Jennifer Aniston didn't show her goodies though. Apparently she was originally supposed to go full frontal but then decided in post-production to ixnay it.

    Overall I'd say watch it.

On the other hand, saw like the first hour of "Our Idiot Brother" and it was so awful. I didn't laugh once, couldn't figure out if it was supposed to be funny or not. Just bad.

Wreck it Ralph 8/10 - Would have been a 10/10 but I simply can't stand Sarah Silverman's voice.

Looper 9/10 - Great flick, and JGL is easily my favorite actor at the moment.

Silent Hill Revelation 1/10 - Oh my God what a horrible movie. It makes absolutely no sense, easily one of the worst movies I've ever sat through. I'd give the original a 6/10, so this was a let down. Only reason it gets a 1 is I'm a fan of Kit Harington and Sean Bean.

The Double 3/10 - This was the movie that gave away the entire plot in the trailer. A decent twist at the end is it's only saving grace.

Safety not guaranteed- recommended! I wasn't expecting much from a movie I assume was sparked from an internet meme/ad, if they came in that order. I just watched it because I like the grumpy guy from new girl & the grumpy girl from parks & rec. I don't like thinking about the target audience of it either, but it surprised me how good it was.

Meloncholia- kind of a downer, but good if you like the girl from spiderman (I think?), & keifer of course. A kid that doesn't completely piss me off in a movie is always great too.

movie was kind of terrible, but dunst's boobs are just about worth suffering through the whole thing for. they are extraordinary.

and good point about the kid actor. i'd agree with that assessment. if you want the opposite end of the annoying kid spectrum, watch Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. i cringed every time that annoying **** uttered the words "The Worst Day".
