I want him to have a 20-20 game. Anyone think he'll do it this season? We know he can crank out the rebounds and I think he has the offense in him to do it
I think it's safe to say that none of us would be shocked if he did at this point. That, in itself, is so impressive. Omer has just been fantastic. Money well spent. I'll be shocked if he doesn't win MIP this year.
Omer has been awesome on the boards and his offense has not been bad. I hope to see him get more practice time with Dawson and start posting down low. Have some plays run through Omer down low instead him setting picks up high.

Interestingly, Morey said on the radio today that he thinks Morris has been the league's most improved player so far this season.
that is interesting...Morey is seeing it through a "rockets" lens, however. Morris went from bench burner who never saw the floor to significant contributor so he certainly qualifies as most improved for the Rockets franchise...but Its hard to compete with Asik--a regular contributor last year (albeit bench player) who turned into an effective starter, league leader in rebounding. and one of the top centers in the league. Can't argue much with Asik getting MIP--not to mention he does have the makings of a respectable offensive game.
I think Morey expected the defense and rebounding from Asik. Offense had been better than expected. Morris isn't just getting more minutes, he actually is much better.
Well, Omer was really good for the Bulls, too. He just plays more minutes now. Morris, on the other hand, was crap. His game was crap and his attitude was crap. He was crap. Now he is good. 180 degree turnaround.
Javal Mcgee 4 years 44 million Nene 5 years 67 million DeAndre Jordan 4 years 43 million Brook Lopez 4 years 61 million Roy Hibbert 4 years 58 million Marc Gasol 4 years 58 million Andrew Bogut 5 years 60 million Andrea Bargnani 5 years 50 million Omer Asik 3 years 25 million Talk about a steal.
out of all those deals, Asik is the best by far $ per value. In terms of the players, the only player I might take over Asik is Gasol or a healthy Bogut--but he's never healthy. The rest-- a$$ trash
quite possible.. what i want more than that is for him to have 10rbs 20 points on a regular basis... as jmwill said: "I think it's safe to say that none of us would be shocked if he did at this point. That, in itself, is so impressive."
boy that would be awesome! He'll be unstoppable, and given his passing abilities then he'll be making a lot of assists as well....
All Asik needs to do is improve his finishing around the rim. He can bully his way in the low post through sheer strength for an easy lay up. A nice 6 ft hook shot may help but at this stage he should focus on improving his lay up finishing.
Just a really smart player...and extremely important piece to this team...and he always gives a 100% out there...Glad things are working out for him here..
