When Jessica was with Mike last episode I half expected Dana to come in and be like what the hell mom? This is such bull****! It's not fair! Mom! Gahhh. [exit to sulk alone in room]
[spoiled theory below!] Spoiler You are assuming that Brody was honest with the CIA. There was a clue that he may have turned back when he didn't divulge that he prayed with Nazeer. It is possible that Brody was turned back and that this was an elaborate ruse to buy him time for something bigger. Couple of issues: 1) It can't be that simple can it? Just replace some batteries with bombs and drive right into the military base with the Vice president and kill him? 2) Why would Estes have Brody assassinated? That would blow up in his face so easily. Too many people knew he was working for the CIA for his dead body to just be written off as a mugging or something. The wife, Mike, the kids, Carrie...they would all raise a stink. The Vice President would get involved and Estes would have to reveal the truth to him which would burn Estes anyway when the Veep realized he had been played by the CIA all along.
as for your theory and I know I shouldn't but Spoiler in the preview it shows brody and nazeer having an argument over the phone about brody having turned on him, so I don't think he was being dishonest with the cia. Maybe he turns back to nazeer after all this is said and done or becomes acting as a terrorist himself? I'm not sure how that would work, or how likely it would be. Without Brody's nazeer connection this show has no focus with his character so idk what will happen.
I thought the same thing...Although I did think maybe a double agent as he didn't reveal everything in the de-brief...but like someone said, it can't be that easy right? I expect the season to end with a bang, like last year so let's hope I"m right...
Spoiler Any phone conversation with Roya or Nazeer had to be taken with a grain of salt if my idea holds up because Brody and Nazeer both know the CIA is watching them and listening. Anyway, it's just a potential theory.
I think Brody might still take out the VP. Brody doesn't want to kill any innocents, but the VP did take out Issah.
good point since really he's one of the only ones in this whole thing that has zero idea that brody might be a bad guy
As much as Dana is annoying, i think her part just had to do with how a person has to endure and withstand at times. She wanted to come clean but cant because of certain situations. This is still untimely going to end up being about the VP.
Not saying what happened wasn't wrong. But the way I see it. The girl's mother is dead. Nothing is going to change that. The fact that she is going to get hush money would be the best case scenario for her little siblings, because even though bringing someone to justice is sweet, it isn't always the best case. Dana's whole emo gig is just over the top and in areas where kids normally aren't emo. Its just inaccurate.
I think that's what's weird about her emo behavior to me. How many kids get all emo because they want to turn themselves in and go to prison and their parents won't let them?
