I think it's just the Knicks fans who automatically feel threatened that Rockets fans are just being Rockets fans.

You don't see Knicks fans berating Knicks fans for missing John Starks or Latrell Sprewell

I miss Olajuwon, he's better than everybody on every team:p

Ah another Lowry fanboy, Lowry got NADA on Lin! If he's a better fit then the rockets would have kept him. Oops I guess he isn't good enough. lol

This guy sound like some of the old fart I have at my work place that don't want to change and will not accept the change. Do you know what happen to those that refuse to change? lol

I don't think most would be offended if people still like old players, but to keep harping on wanting them on the team when they have moved on and probably impossible to get them back on the team is what is annoying. Also, most don't like Lin.

The moment the game ended you said something along the lines of "Oh, here come all the LOFs skewing stats and hammering Lowry for one bad game."
I have no problem with you being a fan of Lowry, but he's gone now. Root for your team.

Well, he has done the same in several games. I don't know if you praised him or not, but many don't that the double standard, maybe not of you but others.[/QUOTE]

Maybe it's because their opinion of what an acceptable performance from a player is different from mine or yours?

Let me make this easy to understand why the "double standard" is irrelevant.

There is a double standard against Lin for certain people, they will hate him and criticize him regardless.

There are also double standards for Lin for a certain group of people, they will praise his performance regardless of how well he actually did.

Then there exist people who just want the team to succeed, and they have their own standards and will judge the players by these standards. They have no bias, they just want every player to succeed. And if it so happens that we ever trade these players, then some of us will wish they continue their success.

    End of story.

I am! What? You don't think I'm happy?

But I'll come to Lowry's defense, too. It's true - the LOFs were saying that Lin's better than Lowry from this one game.

Fine you praise Lowry for his contribution for his team. Many also praise Lin for what he contributed even when his shots were not falling. I hope you'll be one of those to praise Lin when he does the same again in the future if his shots aren't falling.

Like I said, there are LOFs here that think Lin is an all-star. Ignore them and move on.

Yes, I will praise Lin when he does well.

I do that for every Rocket player.

Are you satisfied? Do I need to raise money and donate to Jeremy Lin foundation to prove that I want Jeremy Lin to succeed?

I haven't see anyone came out and say Lin is better than Lowry because of one game, Some have come out that Lin outplayed Lowry this game, especially when many were saying that Lowry was going to outplay Lin. Anyways why are you so sensitive if someone does say Lin is better?

Build a shrine to Jeremy Lin in your house and pray before every Rockets game to bring Lin good luck.

Fans are blind. Lowry only fans are no exception.

Lowry may be better than Lin in some areas NOW but dude is playing for another team. Get over it. Stop defending him when he is playing against the Rockets.

You should read what Knicks fans say about Lin, a former Knicks player on Knicks forum, just saying.

I also feel it's okay to root for former Rockets players. I am still following Battier. However, it is not cool to root against current Rockets players.

Unless they seriously flat out blow.
    Like Trevor Ariza did.
Lin is not terrible, even if some people here suggest he is.

Robert Horry got booed when he was drafted by the Rockets.
That's because Rockets fans thought he was just another forward from Alabama like Buck Johnson.

There is a difference between criticizing your own player and rooting against your own player.

I just being honest. Lowry's playing well. He's better than Lin. That's the truth.

People make such a big deal about Lin and the airball. Lebron air balled a free throw before- a freaking free throw!!! Yet a bigger deal is made about lines missed shot in a high pressure situation. Just give it a break. If you weren't a Lin hater, just say he is shooting a bad percentage. But to say he's playing like crap shows your a hater. Lin is averaging 10.2 pts, 4.6 Rebs, 1.8 Stls a game. Compare that with Lowry's first full season as a starter with the Rockets where he averaged 13.5 pts, 4.1 Rebs, 1.4 Stls a game. Really pretty similar. So chill out and give Lin a chance to get settled in with a team of guys who he hasn't played with very long. Or just keep hatin on him.
