I loved this past sunday's episode. This season is definitely better than past 2 seasons!

I wonder how many more seasons they will be doing. The comic one is still ongoing, is that correct?

Here's one thing I've been talking about with a buddy:

What's up with the dang tea? And the whiskey? In the 1st episode in Woodbury the Governor mentions it to the scientist, and then at breakfast they serve them tea and they're watching Andrea drink it all attentive like. Then if you notice her attitude changes after that. But Michonne doesn't drink it and she stays skeptical. Now every time Andrea drinks gov's whiskey it's all dramatic.

Did anyone else notice this? I think he's drugging her.

Another note, did anyone else think it was not smart of the Governor to send out like 1/3 of his forces right when he should be expecting the other group to come looking for their people? I mean he's got like 10 or so goons I figure and Maggie just told him that the other group has 10 people ... so if you send out a scouting party you're now outnumbered. I guess he figures he's got them outgunned.

Comic series is still ongoing, recently passed 100 issues.

I've read the showrunners mention that the tea from the earlier episodes will have no importance, it's just tea.

THat was a huge topic when they first got to Woodbury... everyone just said it was just regular tea i dont think it does anything to anyone. As for what's going to happen i think marle dies and so does the tall black guy thats with them.

What a waste to wait so long to bring Merle back if you plan to kill him this quickly.

He knows they're not going to just leave the prison unguarded, so of those 10, a few have to stay back. One group cancels the other out. Plus, Rick and co. are at a disadvantage because they have to break into the town, while these guys sit back and watch a perimeter.

Also, as far as the Gov is concerned, they don't know what they're looking for. All they know is 2 of their people didn't return.

I bet Carl / Herschel / Carol etc get captured by the governers people. I'm kinda thinking Herschel dies. Then Rick and the group get Maggie and Glenn back only to return to the prison and find no one's there.

Still though. 5-7 people to watch the perimeter of the whole town isn't that much. You could say that the Gov is actually at a disadvantage because he's got to sit and wait. Plus Michonne has been inside Woodbury and knows what they've got where. If I were him I would've dug in with what I had and tried to change things up.

    I can't wait :p

But that's your POV, watching the series, like i said, as far as the gov is concerned, rick's group doesn't know what happen. The gov doesn't know Michonne is with them. They dont even know she saw Merle take glenn and maggie. So in his mind, they'll be out looking for them but would have to be really lucky to end up at Woodbury anytime soon. Even if they did show up, they can just deny they saw them.

You're right in that he's in at disadvantage now, since they're not expecting them and so quickly, but it makes perfect sense to send out a group based on what he knows, or doesn't know, in this case.

Ahhh you're right. I didn't think about that. For all he knows Michonne wandered off and Merle never saw her.

Actually, i just remembered Merle told the gov she didn't make it because he wounded her and then were attacked by walkers, so the gov believes she's dead or dying.

    SUPER BLATANT SPOILERS BELOW

It's pretty hard to predict what's going to happen since the show has drifted from the comics a LOT already, but here's what happens for the rest of the arc in the comics:

First off, Andrea and Michonne never got separated. They find Woodbury when Rick, Glenn, and Michonne get captured. Rick loses a hand, Michonne goes all psycho on the Governor and mutilates him, and the 3 of them escape back to the prison to prepare to make a defensive stand.

Some of the group (Glenn, Maggie, Sophia, Andrea, Dale) decides to bail, so Rick and the rest of the group has to defend the prison shorthanded but fail. Lori and the baby are killed during the battle, and Rick and Carl are forced to run away.

The two of them live on their own for a little while, until they run into the people who bailed earlier, along with Michonne who somehow also survived the battle. They live on Herschel's farm for a bit before meeting a group who are headed to DC to find a cure for the zombie disease. And that's the next arc.

I'm not sure what's going to happen next week, but I'm pretty confident Rick is going to lose a hand and Michonne is going to have a fun time with the Governor

Yea but her pulling her jeans up was the best part of the last episode.

I came across this pilot episode for a show called "Babylon Fields". It was was pitched to CBS a few years ago but they didn't pick it up.Pretty interesting take on the zombie thing.

I think they created the Merle character for the show so that would not have to happen to Rick. Michonne could still go apes**t on the Governor, even though the "actual" interrogation scene from the comic was never shown.
