I've been browsing around YouTube to watch some interesting videos. Then, I stumbled at some NBA Documentary videos. I tried searching for our team, but I didn't find any. So I watched this: <object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lh0LYj1hZA0?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lh0LYj1hZA0?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="853" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> Then, I looked again and saw this: <object width="640" height="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NfPreZjiDFo?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NfPreZjiDFo?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> It was a good watch, but it is sad that we don't have any current team documentary. Where is the love?
There is so many videos about some players, but no team video!?! This is the 21st Century! Clutch, you know how to film?
There's A TON more information out there on the Lakers than Rockets. More sources, more interviews to be taped, more video, etc. You'd have to be one hell of a fan, and a resourceful one, to pull it off, or even wan to. Teams like the Lakers have all their bases covered. A documented and rich history, rings, wealth, number of fans, etc.
...,or we have a lazy fan base because I can't even find a documentary about our 22 game winning streak. Just a bunch of highlights.
That just happened like 4 years ago.... you want the average fan to put together a documentary within 4 yrs, involving players and coaches who are mostly still active? With 2 of them out of the country?
The Association shows on NBATV, been waiting on a Rox segment, but I think they stopped making these vids BEFORE Harden was traded. If he'd been traded earlier, they probably would have.
OMG. You see a documentary even though the player is still alive. You don't need them dead. Golly. What do you think of a documentary? Just for dead people?
Just doing the highlight videos for the streak took a lot of time... If I had a team of people to help I'd make on for it
You said they are still active. Your basically saying, wait until they are inactive. Might as well say wait 'til they are dead until we can make a documentary about it. A great feat like that shouldn't go unnoticed. If another team made a feat like that, I'm pretty sure someone would have made a documentary about it a year later. Anyway, the argument is not about the Lakers and such. The argument is about the Rockets not having a recent team documentary. You see players having their own documentaries even though they are still active.
I'm saying its hard to for an average fan to put together all that's necessary, including interviewing players and coaches, who are all mostly still busy working in different parts of the country, and even the world. Guys aren't just going to come rushing into Houston to take part in Kam or Tinman's documentary. Lots of significant expenses to consider, which require funds to be raised. And let's not pretend you'd be happy with crappy execution and content, because then you'd be complaining about how our documentaries suck compared to the documentaries of other teams. Perhaps it'll still get done eventually, but you'd have to be Spike Lee to pull it off in in 3-4 years.
I'm not even complaining. I'm just asking how come there is no recent documentary about the team. You mad now bro?
