So I've been traveling to Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton) for the past 5 weeks and I have concluded that Canada is a piece of crap. 1. Canada is a cold, barren tundra. Miserably cold, snow/slush everywhere, extremely unpleasant to go outside. 2. The country is largely irrelevant in world affairs, but think they have all the answers to all the US' problems (dear Canada boy, I don't care about your opinion on what the US should do for its health care -- I really don't, so just shut up) 3. The country is extremely lucky to be sitting right next to the US. It gives them an outlet to ship their oil and gas 4. However, the country's finances are about to get clobbered, as the US is needing less and less oil and gas from Canada, since we've got our own now thanks to the shale boom (whoop whoop suck it Canucks). You better figure out Asia quick boys, and you're not off to a good start. 4. The country's most famous exports are Justin Beiber and Carly Rae Jepsen. Strike 1 and strike 2 5. They have everything written in English and FRENCH. Strike 3, p*****s 6. They claim they're getting "so diverse", but they really only get second class immigrants who can't get into the US. not impressed
and I forgot to mention....they're still technically living under the Queen of ENGLAND's rule. Really not even a real country *snort*
bigtexxx...your rant is misdirected...and you should know better I would much prefer a border with Canada versus Okla-f!cking-homa.
Friendlier people there than in the U.S. Vancouver is a very peaceful city, one that you can retire in. Seattle/Vancouver, can't beat that.
You should travel in British Columbia, texxx, if you haven't already. An old friend of mine puts on a jazz festival at a small town sitting on the edge of a spectacular lake, north of Nelson. The area is stunningly beautiful, the people are amazingly friendly, and the girls are hot (and amazingly friendly). Sorry you have had such a dismaying adventure in the frozen north. Many Canadians have an answer for that. They winter where it's warm.
Whoa, now. Let's not get crazy. We can still like some things about Canada and bash it as a whole. Tim Horton's is awesome.
I have a Canada joke that my Canadian colleagues don't like, although it bashes the US and England, too. Canada seems to have a chip on it's shoulder, maybe. Joke, So, Canada is such a sad story. They had the opportunity to have: America Technology British Culture, and French Cuisine but ended up with: French Technology America Culture, and British Cuisine
Hate thread. However, I agree with 6 and there's an easy explanation for that - Canada doesn't have as good universities. Montreal is a hotbed for gaming development right now.
if you can get it to a buyer, you are correct. If you can't physically or legally get it to them, not so much
