Quitten was incridibe with the Bulls. He had it all which was every repatoire in the book . Sadly we got him after his back surgery which curtailed his movement and he was a walking zombie with us. If Chandler becomes one quarter of a prime Snottie Quitten, i'll be ecstatic.

Most similar comparison I can think of is Tayshaun Prince.

I've been looking at Parson's stats lately and have noticed his first 2 years are eerily similiar with Dirk's.

Chandler Parsons is developing quite nicely. I don't think he has an offensive game that can will us to victory but he is certainly developing it.

For now atleast Parsons has proven he is a legit starter in the NBA. Let's see if he can continue this for the rest of the season. If he can finish up as a 16/8/4 player than that his HUGE.

I like to see him get to the line more because he is very good at getting to the rim.I guess that is part of his evolution into a even more well rounded player

I'm a huge Parson's fan, and I was very relieved we did not lose him during the wheeling and dealing of the off season and was; however, he is not a star.

The guy has a lot of tools -- he can defend, rebound, pass at a very high level, and his shot is developing nicely this season. He also has shown the dedication to improve that most star players have (see aforementioned shot) and the basketball smarts to play beyond his years. However, he does not have the ability to create his own shot when defenses are focused on him that all stars need. He is not an elite penetrator (at least not on the court ;) ), and he does not have a post game. He cuts to the basket well, and is shooting well, and I think he can be a good scorer in the league, just not when the defenses are focused on him.

His rebounding looks alot more assertive this season. He boxes out alot more this season and isnt afraid to attack the defensive glass to grab a few rebounds.

Let's hope he has a consistent shot and he might be good.

If Parsons don't make any major development, and simply iron out the edges in his game, then I would agree Prince seems like a very good comparison. So the question becomes, is there something Parsons can improve dramatically in the future? Something that can take him to an all-star level? I don't see it. But then again, I didn't forsee how a 3pt shot basically turned Lowry from a marginal starter into a top-10 PG. So this is more a guess than anything else.

Chandler Parsons reminds me of Mike Miller to be honest. Chandler can D up better of course but I dont see him being any better than Mike was. Still a great role player nonetheless. All star probably not

    thats a fair comparison.

Offensively hes right there with Dunleavy Jr./Mike Miller but defense is what sets them apart. Chandler plays better 1 on 1 D, rebounds a little better and tries to play passing lanes for steals

The real question is, can Parsons keep it up enough that Morey will decline his 4th year option in order to make him a RFA. So Chandler, do you want to get paid a year sooner or what? Keep it up for the ladies, Chandler.

Though his offense has definitly improved, the thing I like most about him is you feel confident(well as confident as can be) putting him one on one against the likes of Kobe, Melo, Bron etc.

I think the Rockets would still be in the clear to match whatever another team offered for him and then some, but the language of things like the Gil Arenas exception gets super dense in a hurry in Larry Coon's FAQ.

It suffices to say that that rookie scale salary is going to be a thing of the past for Parsons soon enough. He is going to get paid. Sure hope he's still a Rocket when he does. :(

I'm with you here. I think he's better than shane ever was in a rockets uniform. Maybe I'm forgetting something, but one on one defense for Chandler is fantastic. Shane was smarter/more experienced thus effective in team defense scenarios, but pure one on one talent goes to Chandler.

I thought he was our second best player coming into the season and he's playing like it.

Chandler is allready the on court vocal leader nd off the court he is the glue that binds everyone together. He has a leader Stamped all over him. He knows right now it's Hardens team and he is the second most important cog and the core is there to be a pretty solid ball club in the future.

His best attribute is very high basketball IQ. Historically there're a few stars or superstars with very good athleticism/size and high IQ. I hope Parsons can be one of them.
