How often is your dog in the backyard? That hole in the fence was caused by your dog looking to escape for freedom like Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins in Shawshank Redemption...
Didn't read any posts, don't like to read dog threads. Just wanted to say sorry, hope the person stopped at least.
Sorry man. I've found that keeping a fish instead is much less emotionally distressing if your pet dies.
I started to cry like crazy when my fish died. I was 8 at the time. And when my chicken died i was also sad. Doesn't matter what animal you just grow attached.
I couldn't even begin to imagine if that happened to my dog... sorry for your loss. I don't think much else can console you other than the good times you had.
Well then I'm wrong and I can only speak from my own experience then. I've stopped keeping pets because of things like these. I had to part ways with my lovebird once and that was major suxors. For some reason I can't get attached to fish.
Done. Feel for you, bro. Like other posters have said, I live in fear of this day. And don't ever let someone make you feel silly for mourning a dog. Bond is seriously strong.
my heart stopped a couple months ago when my lab broke my grip on the leash to run toward another dog across the street...a car had to slam on its brakes to avoid missing her. i grabbed her and sat down on the pavement because my heart was racing so fast. she is quite literally my best friend. losing her is unimaginable, it's almost absurd to think about someday not having my dog. i'm so, so sorry for your loss.
Big dog guy myself, and I'm really sorry for your loss. I had to put my dog down a few years ago, so I know the feeling. But you'll get better. No doubt about it. Hope things turn around for you!
i used to be like that. now, it is quite imaginable. is it your first dog that you own personally? ever been through the "put down" process?
I was wondering who would make the first swoly-esque comment. Sorry for your loss, Rafi. I know how tough it is.
