If anyone doesn't already know, most cable/dish providers are willing to compensate their consumers in some way while this negotiation is taking place. I am a Dish Network customer. I called to threaten to leave and they offered me $10 off per month for the next 6 months. They did something comparable to this when they were in a dispute with Fox a couple of years ago. It may be worth the time if you have 10-15 minutes to spare.

Sorry if this has been brought up before guys. I am thinking about getting DirectTV with NBA League Pass. Will Rockets games be available on LP via other teams networks (even if I am getting it installed in Houston)? Thanks for the answers.

You cannot watch Houston games on league pass in the Houston area regardless of feed.

Call DirectTV and raise some hell. DirectTV makes billions of dollars of every year off of you and its other customers.

seriously???? why raise hell to a person on the phone who has nothing to do with the dispute? That will do nothing to be honest to bring you the network.

I don't think it will be settled with most carriers until baseball season starts. Even with the Astros being terrible, baseball is pretty much an everyday thing, and I don't think they will let this channel hang out and fail at that point.

Why should the Astros management escape this perfect justice?

DirectTV's net income has nearly tripled the over the last three years and they are making billions off their customers. If you want to bury your head in the sand and pretend they aren't part of the problem, then go ahead. But, If I were a DirectTV customer I would be pissed that a corporation that is making billions off it's subscribers refuses to pick up a channel so many people want.

If there is any positive right now, it's that there aren't any negative comments from CSNHouston or the providers.

I wish all of the people in Houston including me are willing to cancel the membership together with Dish Network and Directv and switch to Comcast and see what Dish and Directv said about losing customers. It would wake up call for those providers and learn the lesson. Oh well...

You would only help to embolden Comcast in their effort to dominate the market.

DirecTV did not sign the TV rights to Rockets games over to a channel that was unavailable to most Houstonians.

Comcast didn't either. Neither did Dish or ATT.

One man signed over the TV rights to Rockets games to a channel that is only carried by one carrier.

And you better be sure Les Alexander got his money.

exactly. The Astros own more than Les and more than Comcast in this deal. They have no interest in negotiating a deal until MLB season begins. They actually want Rockets fans to experience real pain and yell for other providers to roll over and sign favorable deals.

It's the Astros more than Les....and I hate Les. But this is the Astros, people.

    wake up

No Astro signed away The Rockets' TV rights to a channel offered by one provider.

One man had the power to do that and he did it.

Les Alexander should be winning this poll.

Les joined the Astros to create a NEW channel with the promise to support many providers like many Sportsnet channels do throughout all sports.

I don't believe Les is getting what he expected right now, but I do fully expect the deal to be in place for multiple providers before the MLB season starts.

The Astros are using Rockets fans to argue and scream for them. It is plain and simple.
