It's a real cool video. The re-branding was done really really well, imo.

I don't care for the Rockets like most of us, but I also think it impossible for them to re-brand as well because their classic jersey/theme was very very very simple. I know that simple can be classic.... if it has always been simple and classic and iconic - ie Yankees. The Rockets aren't iconic like that.

That said, the Project34 guy did apretty good job there, and simply just saying "hey dude, these are great, we're using these next year" would be fantastic

No doubt. I'm not sure i agree with his final choice. I prefer one with the R, as it would fit well with the Astros rebrand (a circle with an H), look better on hats (the basketball with the R in the middle, etc.), though I can see why some would say an "R" is kind of dumb. Whatever, they are light years ahead of what they currently use.

 

Those are great. I really like them.

Only two things I'd change:

- Instead of the rocket blasting off the horizontal stripe of the ball, make it blast off the vertical stripe of the ball.

-Maybe a little more trim?


Really, these are great though. Would take them over the current ones in a heartbeat.

not bad. eons better than "root for the good guys" and the whole ridiculous comicbook schtick. then going "root root root" the following two years because the comic book crap was so "successful".

here's hoping they replace the embarrassingly bad radio spots that they've been regurgitating for the last decade. I'm sure the guy whose voice is always featured is a genuinely good guy, but if I hear his voice one more time I'll puke. Those spots *sucked* when they started running them a decade ago, and still they run that drivel out there.
