Honestly, his mental health doesn't concern me as a rockets fan. We picked him up 16th... and we ALL know he's a very versatile player. We need to start giving him about 5-10 minutes of PT. I don't want this guy cut or traded. He can play.
UPDATE Royce White no longer assigned to D-League...

@izakdavid13 Your tweets give great opportunity for ppl to see 1st hand DUMBness. So he b****ed and whined and used his mental illness to get his way....smh He will never heal and grow up if he continues to get his way through manipulation.
Seems like a nice guy with an anxiety disorder who may or may not work out with the Rockets. I hope he works out. Royce seems to think bringing lots of attention to his situation (via twitter) and pressuring the organization will get him what he wants. I tend to disagree. I'm rooting for him though.
He acts like the Rockets are obligewd to go beyond the call of duty. I think upto now the Rockets have been greart in helping him wiyth his illness, but the young man needs to get a grip.
A lot of the armchair diagnosing in these White threads is kind of silly and probably mostly off the mark. When trying to understand someone's problems, the answer is usually not that the person has a personality disorder or is just a jerk. Usually the person is experiencing overwhelming emotion, such as anxiety or sadness, and doesn't know how to control it or manage it. If you view White as basically a big kid dealing with overwhelming anxiety, things make more sense. I agree that he has behaved horribly here, but I think what we are seeing is someone who is used to getting his way run out of options. It's not because he's a jerk, but rather because this is how he has always managed his symptoms and due to poor psychiatric care and others giving whatever he wants, it has worked up until now.
He's a narcissist ass. Since when is "anxiety" a reason to manipulate everyone and to behave like one doesn't have any obligations at all, when being paid millions? No no no, the "anxiety"/"mental illness" excuse doesn't justify the behavoir he has displayed. Even if he has mental issues, he is not insane or anything and should be capable of some self-reflection, so that he sees that his demands are unreasonable and totally out of proportion.
