So is roku basically for streaming tv shows from apps only? I dont care for netflix and all that stuff. I want something to stream movies and tv shows i download for free in 1080p mkv format. Something i can also plug my external hd and play directly from there if the video file is too big and slow to stream.
Need a new external HD, preferably portable. Any good deals I can check out during lunch? My old Seagate is dying.
Basically just making my 73 inch dlp into a smart tv. My 55 inch lg led 3d tv is awesome and i love i can just download shows or movies onto my laptop and stream it directly from my tv. I can also download 3d movies and plug my external HD into the tv and watch 1080p 3d movies(although i have to convert the audio files). I want to be able to plug my external hd into whatever device in my DLP and watch 3D movies just like i can on the led 3d tv.
any deals on laptops/ultrabooks? screen resolution must be 1080p. Price range if flexible. This BF/CM have been very underwhelming unfortunately.
If thats what you are going to use it for, I'd look into the LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader. I've had it for more than a year, and does what Roku does plus what you want it to do. Roku has a USB port too, the most expensive model only though, but only reads MP4 files. The LG one I have reads everything, MKV, Divx, havent had any issue playing any videos played I've obtained via the web. The only complaint I have, it may be inconsistent with the sound volume, syncs fine with the video, but at time, especially when I got a BluRay RIP of Avengers, the dialogue was low, but the action scenes were loud as hell. Possibly could be just the file though. LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader I've seen it at Fry's for less than $50 all the time.
The new iPod nano for $125 with no tax and free shipping... http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Apple-i...ration-NEWEST-MODEL-Sealed-/261131912549?var=
Might I recommend the WD TV Live instead? Awesome playback of local content. Plus some streaming services, too. http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Streaming-Media-Player/dp/B005KOZNBW/
Just bought a Movado watch for $199 no tax free shipping. watch costs $495 retail. http://www.jomashop.com/movado-muse...pa&ref2=cj&utm_source=CJ&utm_campaign=1225267
Cyber Monday was a disappointment. Most of the prices I saw were regular prices for items aside from maybe clothing.
The klipsch x10 ear buds are on sale for 84 plus tax. The were hot last year at 99 bucks total. Site is Amazon. No linky on mobile
meh, I have a 1st Gen Roku and the LG one, I use the LG one more, and have the Roku on a tube tv since it still takes A/V cables. The pushed out updates since those reviews. To each their own I suppose, I haven't had any issues. Fry's has them on sale all the time for less than $50 in store, not listed on their website tho.
Hat Regular price for that watch looks to be around $280 on some sites. Ashford.com has it for $195 but I'm not sure what shipping and tax are there. Still a pretty good deal, though.
