After putting up so many years of horror show, Felton the fat still got the guts to compare himself with anybody on earth is amazing.

Well rafer did play mostly under JVG... Not exactly offensive wizard of a coach.

I don't think Lin is a particularly good comparison with anyone right now. He's in his own head way too much. Once it's clear he's past that, if he can get past that, then Lin threads will make more sense, IMO. I'm not saying he becomes a bullseye shooter and that means he's better - just the whole game seems to be just a twitch off due to lack of confidence... Shooting obviously the worst

Think there's any way to get him to Houston? He doesn't seem to be fitting in with the Knicks right now, averaging just 6 pts a game.

The league's best 3pt shooter should have a bigger role than that.

He had 18 points on 5-7 from the 3pt line last night

I dont think most LOFs would even compare Felton to Lin...

most would agree Felton was a better fit for the Knicks...

as he was expected to bring the ball up and run to the 3 point line...

that wasnt Lin's game...who would have known he is expected to do that here...

most LOFs if they were asked to compare.... probably would compare Lin to John Wall

to those calling out LOFs please back up your statements with quotes

i don't think you're right... lin had way more freedom under woodson than he does here.

    Felton stats this season:

    15.7 PPG
    7.3 APG
    2.6 RPG
    1.2 SPG
    0.1 BPG
    2.3 TOPG

    vs

    Jeremy Lin

    10.2 PPG
    6.1 APG
    4.6 RPG
    1.8 SPG
    0.5 BPG
    2.9 TOPG

As of right now it is not looking good. I think Felton is benefiting though from playing with Melo and the Knicks.

He's benefiting from a system that caters very well to his skill set. Dynamic PNR finishers, multiple bigs who set great screens & shooters. There is a reason why Hibbert hasn't been playing to well also. Basketball is a very complex game & something as simple as setting proper screens can be a diference maker. Ask Dwayne Casey.

That's why I'm anti-stats for the most part.

Cuz some how people always seem to be able to make anyone comparable to a proven star.

You don't need to rely on stats to do this though? With or without stats anybody can do this.

Yeah but ppl always make stats out to prove what they are saying are facts. Most of the time and it feels like they misused them to prove their point.

Oh sure. Stats do have inherent flaws. So does the eye test. I think a combination of both as well as the opinion of those you trust is always best.

Oh I agree although the eye test has been getting a lot of flack lately.

What skill set, assists are a result of coming up the floor and getting the ball to melo and lettinghim shoot the ball...THAT'S IT

hes shooting ok but hes slow and hte knicks have been exposed as an old team that you can penetrate on.... Felton is slow, and he showed tht the other day when Lin took him to task. I like Lin, Team guy...his shooting will improe. There would be no talk about him if he were shooting 40% from the field

Deservedly so. Stats have also been getting a lot of flack lately. Reggie Miller publically trashed stat heads on tv. Both aspects of the game are flawed but both together aid in ones understanding of the game.
