Not sure how i missed thi thread last night My condolences to McHale and his family. I hope he takes off as much time as needed and doesn't try to come back too soon. I hope the team can do something in her honor, but i wouldn't dedicate the season to her. The team just isn't good enough to expect a great/winning season. Maybe donate X amount of money to her favorite cause/charity for every rebound we get, things like that.
So sad. One of my high school friends just died of lupus as well, two weeks ago. She left behind 3 kids and she was only 26.
This makes me so sad, especially since she is close to my age, I can't imagine how McHale's family must feel. I hope they can pull through.
really unfortunate. as a 22 year old myself, this i cannot imagine if one of my friends passed at such a young age.
Really puts things in perspective! 22 is way too young to go! I can't begin to imagine what Kevin and his family is going through! I hope this team can do something special for her!

This is my thoughts exactly.. Didnt know how to really reply to this thread, cause I really have no words. I hate to hear of anyone passing away at any age. I have a 8 month cousin passed in June. It's unbearable being on the outside looking in, so I can only imagine being so close.
That is truly unfortunate. I wouldn't know how I would ever take basketball seriously if I was in this situation.

I do not see McHale coming back this season....I'm not a parent but if I was basketball would be the last thing on my mind...Prayers go up for his family!!! Love one another cause you never know
such saddening news. basketball doesn't become important in a time like this. and this happens during the Holidays. so tough for the McHale family. prayers.
