he has stated he doesn't trust the media since they always twists the stories around. Twitter allows him to speak #honest and be #transparent. #anxietytroopers

if music is his passion, he sure is not very good at that either.
he needs to go see the real musicians and concert pianists and see how professional they are in terms of dedication to their craft and the sacrifices
they make to be the best at what they do.

his tinkering on the keyboard is childish and it re-inforces the notion that he lives in his own world, one that is different from the rest of ours.

    ^^^From vid

"second chances life are really rare, where you get a full second chance and you get to start over fresh with a clean slate, totally. And that's what I think I have here, is a total clean slate..."

That quote should have ended with "...and then I schitte all over it with my twitter #anxietytroopers"

The best way to deal with Royce is to trash talk him constantly on twitter.

I think you'll find the club knows his career is over and behind the scenes they are working on voiding his contract and possibly getting back any money they paid him.

They may have been told that he needs to not turn up for a certain number of games or have a certain amount of "evidence" that he is unwilling to fulfil his contractual obligations before they can legally cut him and owe him nothing.

Ironically, I think this will set a precedence in the NBA allowing for players suffering a destructive mental illness to be cut easier. Once a team ticks certain boxes in terms of trying to support a players they will be able to cut them and not cop a salary cap hit if they can show a players is harming the club.

It's pretty clear this guy can never play for tie Rockets again. For his ability, he is not worth the risk for other teams to consider taking him on. His NBA career is over before he played a single minute.

Even in this video you can hear his vague conspiracy theory type paranoia about how things were "portrayed" at Minnesota in an effort for him to deflect blame. This guy is just too much.

He's got full control of that. He can request an interview via skype where it's not going to be edited. I'm sure he's really sought after, given his actions, so it wouldn't be difficult to get a journalist to agree to an interview on his terms.

Can anyone explain to me why he is still not with the team? What is the current holdup?

I saw this while wading through the Royce White Insanity, and the reaction here to it, and thought I'd reply. My late mother, born and raised in Houston (in the Heights, actually, before it became part of Houston), at a point in her life during her 40's, just decided one day that she'd had enough of the stress and anxiety caused by driving on Houston's freeways, and she was old enough to remember watching the first one being built. So for the last 40+ years of her life, she never got on a freeway, living in Southeast Houston the entire time. Mom managed to criss-cross the city visiting friends all over town without getting on any of them. I think more people do that than some might realize. Me? I'd rather have an ulcer from driving on the damn things simply to save the time, but not everyone feels that way, obviously. I wouldn't worry too much about your sister. Now, if she starts tweeting to the world about it, then that's a different story! ;-)-

It wasn't me. I agree with you. I was much more of a jackass in my early 20s.

And I prefer the term "condition" :)

How "good" you do your job, should NEVER determine whether or not you have conditions are safe. That is STANDARD for the WHOLE workforce.
    5:44 PM - 24 Nov 12

This guy doesn't have any clue what an unsafe workplace is. A co-worker not smiling at you, or wearing an ugly yellow necktie that throws you off balance, or whatever BS excuse Royce is using to refuse to work doesn't count as unsafe. I seriously doubt that Daryl Morey tried to pressure Royce into a sexual act or was racist or demeaning. I cannot imagine how pissed Les Alexander must be at this.

At this point, Royce is probably telling the Rockets that he is not liking the way he is being portrayed in this whole deal, and it is causing him to believe that the Rockets management doesn't have his back, which causes him to feel uncomfortable going to the gym. Going to the gym triggers his "illness" because he would be surrounded by people that he perceives to be disappointed and angry with him. Daryl Morey has to be pulling his hair out on this thing. I bet the Rockets are just giving him enough rope until he sufficiently hangs himself and a voided contract is air tight.

I understand anxiety, but Royce is milking this now. He is embarrassed as he should be.

    To hell with him.

Even with anxiety, I'm sure there are plenty of players with worse psychological conditions that at least SHOW UP.

This whole "anxiety troopers" is BS.

This whole "safe workplace" is even more BS. He's making excuses because he messed up. He won't get any playing time here, and if he doesn't showcase his talent for ball sometime soon, he's going to end up playing that Casio keyboard.

This dude is a joke, and this is coming from someone that has battled depression.

I'll take Royce's life any damn day of the week. Get on the freakin' bus and sit on the bench and support your teammates. It's that simple.

If not, good riddance, retire from the NBA and start writing books about the world conspiracy to take you down.

I wathced a couple of his interviews and the guy isn't even humble. Normally, you'd think he wouldn't have some an ego. He hasn't played at all and has some sort of Mariah Carey/Diva/Entitlement attitude.

Shoot...didn't Rafer have Aspergers? Didn't Jason Caffey have depression? I'm going old school with those. I'm SURE there are dozens of players with severe anxiety.

The difference is that they give an F about their team and returning to play, or at least, support the team that took a chance.

I don't want Royce in red at this point. Send him to China....oh wait, that requires a plane ride and an environment that might not cater to all his needs.

    #anxietytroopers:rolleyes:

I just got on twitter and saw that he is continuing his rambling.

When will this **** end?!?

I wish I was his size so that I could slap him silly.

Any info on wtf is going on as far as him and the Rockets are concerned? I hate that he keeps talking about his workplace being unsafe.

So how long until this whole saga is over?

I'm not mad anymore....I don't have a side....I'm just tired of this whole situation. Doesn't matter how it is resolved as long as it gets resolved and is NEVER brought up again.

Must be nice to go through life having a built in excuse for everything ...

"oh that doesn't fit in my OCD profile ? ... well then let me just come up with another disorder to explain that "

.. And can anyone tell me what's so damn "unsafe" about sitting on the bench ????????????

If you haven't disclosed your illness to your employer, you should, b/c your entitled accommodations. #AnxietyTroopers

Getting your own personal form of travel and a top dollar doctor at no expense isn't accommodation at all. Again, F this guy. Go back to stealing other peoples property Royce, Bball isn't for you.
