Agreed that it is a personality disorder.

But what's the point of voiding the contract now? As long as he isn't hurting the team, just keep trying to work with him. The cap hit is small and most 16th picks don't pan out anyways.

Royce doesn't realize that he has a lot more to lose than the Rockets. Worst case, Rockets lose a mid round pick that usually busts.

Worse case for Royce is he loses his NBA career.

    He has zero leverage.

I just want to get this straight, by trying to sabotage his NBA career, he's either a dumba$$ or insane. If he's insane, then we need to stop making fun of him, and if he's a dumba$$, then we should send him to Dallas, where he'll be with his own.:p

My sister has anxiety attacks and suddenly, at 46 years old, refuses to drive on the freeway. I want to give her a hard time, but I have no choice but to believe her. Not driving on the freeway and living in Houston is only going to make her life more difficult (with kids needing rides all over town) but I know she's not dumb, just ill.

I love how he's saying he will singlehandedly ruin Woj's career.

hate to say, but I am now rooting for him to fail.

he does not represent what it means to be a Houston Rocket

Man I'm just done with this whole deal. It's gotten to a point where I don't even want to come visit this thread anymore sometimes because its just too exhausting. The situation has become a huge distraction from some really great things the rockets are doing right now. Even if....BIG IF....he ever plays in a rockets uni....I'd honestly have a real hard time rooting for him. #overit

We can all empathize with struggling to overcome a personal limitation.

Royce has decided instead to blame others (specifically those that took a huge risk drafting him).

Does she stop going to work and then lash out and attack others?

    That's the difference with Royce.

Well, she is a housewife and sometimes she sleeps all day and doesn't clean the house, then when the kids get home and wake her up, she yells at them and stuff, so, yeah. Kinda.

Agreed about voiding his contract, they'll just eat his salary, but I'd be shocked if they tried to work w/him anymore. It's just fruitless.

From the outside looking in, w/all this sht still going on after Monday's Morey/White "meeting," it looks like the Rox have succumbed to letting Royce self destruct.

If true, this is probably the best way for the Rox to handle this mess... Keep him AWAY from team, ignore his existence entirely, legally pacify by continuing to pay out his contract, let Royce continue to twitter himself into obscurity.

Sounds like a good plan to me, I like it.

Wojnarowski may be the most reliable nba journalist, the guy is always the first to know a story, and I can't remember him being wrong. Ever. If there's any "sources" you can trust, those are his.

With that being said, Royce White should just delete his twitter account. Instead of "helping the cause" he's making a fool of himself and losing any kind of simpathy people may have for his background and illness. And destroying his basketball career of course

I thought the sitdown with Morey meant no more attacking the Rockets organization on Twitter.

I guess Royce found a loophole by going after one of the most respected NBA reporters around instead.

SMH what a terrible draft pick.

Does she blame you in front of everybody for being a "clown" not helping her out? I just want to know if blaming others for not alleviating the problem is part of the illness.

He really wants to take on Woj? I love that this article came out almost a week ago and now he responds. He printed out the article and highlighted it up, awesome. He's an idiot. I love it. At first I was saddened to see him being this stupid, now, it's like a fiery car wreck and you can't help but stare. Let's all watch the Royce White bus crash into a wall, it was nice knowing you bud, good luck finding a team who is willing to deal with your crap. You are not what people with GAD need. You are a brat.

It isn't a measure of intelligence. And if he were to play, I doubt making a big shot would be a problem. It doesn't necessarily make one a wallflower. It's more like mental barriers that come up in your mind. They make no sense to thos on the outside, but they can be difficult to deal with. I assume the problem is bigger than basketball and this didn't happen overnight. This has probably been a problem for a while. Yes, he's been handling it completely wrong. Bu I think in his mind, he's using excuses to get out of a situation he doesn't want to deal with.
