Yeah, he's going off on that 3-day old article Woj wrote asking for sources. Legit question, but not great forum.

I'm sure the Rockets are compelled to defend themselves, so they probably spoke "off the record", but they can't win without going completely public, and we know that isn't going to happen.

The Rockets shouldn't talk AT ALL. Royce isn't a threat.

Is he still being fined? Haven't heard anything about him showing up to practices.

If jeff green and chuck hayes got their contract voided for heart problems, why cant RW's contract be voided as well in same manner? they are both illness.
I really hope the rockets sue this kid for the money they already paid him for.
If DMo is back somebody should piss this kid off and tell him " best thing that came from you is recalling recalling DMo"

Well, I hope Royce sorts it out and becomes a productive player. He's coming across as really immature right now.

I know John Madden took his bus to the city where he was calling the game. I don't know if that's possible in the NBA. That doesn't make the Rockets or the league #unaccountable or whatever. It's just a fact of life. If you're afraid of germs, medical doctor probably isn't the best career path for you.

This me against the world mentality isn't going to work. There's nothing unhealthy about his work environment and he's only hurting himself. You've got to show up and do your job. The serotonin levels in your brain aren't keeping you from it.

I can sympathize with the OCD & GAD issues because I've been through it. I just hope Royce's wake up call isn't losing a great opportunity. I lost a job because of it. I hope Royce doesn't do the same.

I just don't get it with this guy... Hindsight being 20/20, this guy was obviously not ready for the NBA and I can't help but feel a little resentment towards Hoiberg who personally vouched for this guy and, prior to the draft, apparently spent "3-4 hours a day with teams just trying to convince people that i think Royce would be very good at that level". I mean, Hoiberg knows about all the challenges and pressures of NBA life, so what made him think that Royce was ready to handle it all?

I REALLY hope that Royce is able to turn things around and get both his life and career in order, but I don't think tweeting 40x per day is the way to go about it.

You're more empathetic than me. I've stopped caring what is in his personal best interests. But he's a talented player if his head is right, so I hope at some point (maybe this season, or maybe in the off-season) this can be resolved. I don't see any point in rashly waiving him.

btw, didn't he tweet about that article a week ago? I'm pretty sure he did.
It's weird that he's going at it now all of a sudden.

for a brief moment he was acting like paying attention to the Rockets was a priority of his...

did he really just say that the team was in the GARDEN?

Just drop this guy already, becoming a major distraction to the team. Such a huge disappointment and a waste of a draft pick. He's more interested in tweeting than playing ball.

This guy stopped tweeting and was up again 2 hrs later? Now he's not even sleeping.

I'm almost on the "get rid of him" bandwagon.... I get he's got an illness, but at this point, he's not healthy enough to represent himself or the team, and apparently no one around him can get to him or won't.

Might be best to quit basketball and get help, grow up, and try it again later.

Can we all now agree this is def not just GAD, OCD with a touch of PTSD?

This is a FULL BLOWN personality disorder if there ever was one.

So, lets say that Dr. Fink, unbeknownst to Royce, diagnosed him with something far more severe than GAD... It seems that would be grounds for voiding his contract. Either way... what a bloody mess.
