I'm liking that starting lineup with Morris instead of Patterson. The gap in defensive upside between Morris and Patterson is slowly narrowing. Patterson is good for a 20 point game here and there, but Morris' speed and plethora of post moves makes him a tougher matchup even when his shots don't fall. Quiet game for him tonight but I suspect he'll make some noise on Wed. Also, anyone else surprised at how deceptively quick Asik is? Sometimes he beats everyone down the court.

Asik is a very good complementary player. And you need those types of guys to win.

But this Parsons guy man. He was breath-taking tonight. Dude handled himself like a star vs Melo, a top 3 player at his position. Parsons exudes so much star quality this year that this is not the homer in me talking. His ballhandling, playmaking, finishing around the rim, shooting, creating off the dribble, rebounding... simply absurd for a 2nd year guy who wasn't heralded to be a star. I think with him and Harden we have our perimeter set. Now we need to find a truly elite big man. From the names you mentioned, I only like Aldridge or Love.

Lin, I don't have a lot of confidence in him. If he does well, great. If not, eh. It's only 3 years and if he struggles for the rest of the year, you'll see Morey trying to move him hard this offseason.

Never been happier to be wrong. I thought Lin and Houston would get crushed. Nope. Love it!

as a knick fan, Toney Douglas is not useless if he can knock down the J's. If you want him to distribute forget it.

Now Felton played well tonight, but NY lost the game tonight for a couple reasons. 2 big ones, defense and rebounding, Rocket point guards shot great ( as did the team) and how many rebounds did Felton get? 0

Ohh well I'm not worried, knicks were too hot, bound to lose a couple. SOlid win for Houston, obviously Lin wanted it bad, bestie Parsons wanted to make sure he went 110% time to move on to the next for both teams.

Thanks for your Knicks perspective and I agree with you. Houston needed to win blowout against very good team like Knicks to boost their confidence. The knicks are still in good position in going forward thanks to their record.

While obviously I'd prefer Aldridge or Love, I'd be fine with Jefferson or Al Horford. I just don't think Smith or Milsap fit the type of power forward they need. They can't be a dominant interior threat.

In what kind of scenario can Aldridge or Love actually come here ? I just don't see it happening. Agree about Millsap and Smith. Smith is just not that good of a shooter and while he won't be a bad addition, he won't make us into contenders either. Millsap is a good player but he is another tweener power forward and we have had enough of those already.

Jefferson is probably our best option really. His defensive liabilities are made up for his good offensive skills, and the fact that with Asik in, he doesn't really need to be an elite defender. One of the best post games in the league. Good rebounder as well. Will be a free agent too. If I had to bet money on our next power forward signing, it would be Al Jefferson.

Al Horford also is not an option. No way the Hawks will trade him to us.

Allow me to take this opportunity to point out that I was optimistic from the start:

57 pages for a blowout win, but 100+ pages for losses?

Lin's lateral movement was as good as I've seen all season. (Two weeks ago, Felton would have beaten Lin off the dribble.) It was the first time he drew "oohs" from the crowd, getting his defender (the Knicks' backup PG) tied up in knots, like he did quite often as a Knick.

Lin also chipped a tooth.... Noticeable during the post game..... He needs to wear a mouth guard. A lot of players do.

Once again, the Rockets bigs were setting screens..... It makes a whole world of difference.

    Bulls? Check.
    Knicks? Check.

Now the team just has to beat the Thunder for Harden.
