I think he would be the long-term answer at the 3, but someone else will probably pay him more when his rookie contract is up. Right now, he might be the best bargain in the NBA, but the league has noticed.
For that age and price, you won't find a better bargain. Right now I would say he is a tier 3 small forward. Tier 1 guys would be the likes of Lebron, Durant. Tier 2 guys the likes of Gay, Iguodala, Granger and Pierce.
Parsons has been exposed. As a player that has improved dramatically from year one to year two. I wonder if he has some more room to improve?
people who doubted or still doubting parsons, GTFO!!!! Parsons is here to stay whether you like him or not
There are 29 teams wondering why the hell the did not draft this guy. Some of them passed on Chandler multiple times.
I'd like to think he read this thread and it became the catalyst for him looking like Larry Bird 2.0 out there. He's playing like a Top 5 SF at the moment.
The Knicks exposed Parsons tonight....to a huge media. Parsons always plays well against big teams. He has had all his 20+ points games against Lakers, Heat and now the Knicks.
Clutch as hell too, he's obviously one of those James Worthy, Chauncey Billups types who lives for the big moments.
"He's playing like one of the top 5 SFs right now" Judging by this week's performances I'd readily say that about him. Obviously the guy you're responding to wasn't saying that Parsons is a top 5 SF.
He is the best SF in that draft class, and I'm saying this as objectively as possible. The only other person who could challenge him for that spot is Leonard on the Spurs.
This is the nature of this board. If he does badly next game, all of a sudden he's exposed. If Lin or Douglas does well the next one, then they're all-stars. Sigh... when will people here just be a bit more calm and let the season play out before making snap judgements about a players entire, future career.
