David Ash is playing against the 109th ranked pass defense in the country. He doesn't show up like this against real opponents, which is one of his biggest flaws.
He had two bad games this year. One against Oklahoma and one against Kansas. I would only consider one of them a real opponent.

He has confidence issues and it's shown in a few games this year. It was his most glaring fault last year. I understand you have to play with some reservations to limit your mistakes, but Ash crawls into a shell whenever he is met with adversity. And there goes the feed.

They aren't running any of the stuff they ran at Boise State. This is a problem that starts at the top - not the coordinators.
