Not really, 12 games is too small of a sample to judge any sort of improvement or regression.

Jeremy Lin should really put the play the making role away for the moment, as Harden can do that when both of them are on the court. If he concentrates and makes quick decision to either shooting or attacking the basket, he will get his confidence back and then everything else in the offence will be much easier.

He is doing fine at the defensive end. May just need to be a bit more aggressive.

Huh? Anyone trying to defend 30% shooting from the field would be laughed out of the building. Lin doesn't get kudos for living in reality...

what kind of offense is the rocket running? trying to make a pg who is not a spot up shooter into a spot up shooter and making a 2 guard into a pg.

dribble u the court and than hand off, while other teams pick and roll our guards all day.

Not based on what some of his fans were saying. They were treating him like a proven veteran player, who was going to come in and just pick up where he left off. Proven players can do their thing in different systems, on different teams, and from season to season, assuming they get similar minutes and opportunities. Lin hasn't had the ball as much, but has had enough opportunities to put up better numbers.

12 games isn't enough to say he'll permanently regress, but it's enough to prove he still has a lot to learn and improve on before he's going to be that 20 and 10 guy they thought he'd be.

Can you find me some of the quotes that actually says he will be a 20/10 guy?
If Im not mistaken, there are only a handful of players who ever averaged 20/10 as PG, all of them were Tier 1 superstars --- we are talking about Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Kevin Johnson and Chris Paul. I doubt any knowledgable fans would assume Lin would be anything close to that.

Obviously you have forgotten about Vassilius Spanoulis. Plenty of guys blame coaches, and factors like a lack of team commitment in creating a safe environment for the mentally ill, for lack of production.

Nice read. Thanks for that. I really like the rockets concept of ball being handled by someone else vs. what lin did in ny. The plan sounds solid but execution is what's lacking.

Then perhaps they weren't knowledgeable..... they were claiming he'd go back to being Linsanity, so i guess 18 and 8 give or take 2 pts/assts.

Lin is sucking it up NO LOF is going to say otherwise...

Lowry and Dragic comparisons are useless since it has been proven time and time again that Lin wasnt even here when you let your two PGs go.... Morey decided to up your offer to Lin...not believing the Knicks wouldnt match

yet the haters view it as if Lowry and Dragic were let go so you could go after Lin...

18/8? Those are DWill's number, borderline superstar, solid all-star.

I doubt Lin would become that kind of player either. That being said, realistically he has a good chance becoming a 15/6 guy, an above average PG in this league per Tim Legler.

I feel that some of the more egregious ones aren't really Lin fans but actually trolls that "over-do-it" so that people will start hating on him.

Like the guys that keep calling for Lin to be put in even though we're up by 20+ points or there's only a few minutes left. It just seems like those guys are just too over the top for me to believe they are really fans.

Under the classical Adelman offense Lin probably wouldn't do to well as it requires a lot of movement off the ball and it sounds like Lin's problem is he doesn't play well without the ball.

Anyway it's a good article and Lin has a good work ethic so while he is struggling now I think he will make things work.

Lumps did a good job helping Lin tonight. He looks comfortable now.

As bad as you guys think Lin is, it is the players that surround him at the moment. Maybe tonight things turn around, but the Lakers organization is pretty much pulling their hairs about not getting Lin when they had the chance. Nash being old and chronically hurt.. Kobe even had a word or 2 in private concerning the matter......

It's the other players' fault that Lin can't find a rhythm on wide open set shots?
