Why not as Someone mentioned about Chris duhon with an expiring contract next year and another player. Morey previously wanted Pau right? Just a suggestion as i can see that some people want Lin out anyway.
^this i can take, man, lin plays not at linsane level. lucky we got a win over the bulls. i feel he will play badly against the knicks. i see jrsmith eyeing him on target. sweet revenge? not gonna happen. oh, lin, when will ur shooting be back. nail those shots man, else u will be warming the pine... again.
Ideally, i'd like him to stay with the Roxx but honestly he has no love from some of the Roxx fans anyway. Some have written off already. As a Knicks fan I come here to follow his development and I really the team but the fans behave as if you were contenders with such an inexperienced team. Yes, he's been playing poorly but he's still a Rookie and will not allow any mistakes. Apart from Harden everyone is inexperienced.
Lin fans just want him traded to a system that can supposedly "use him right." Rockets fans would want him traded for a better player or asset to improve the team. There's a difference. Don't lump us together. It's insulting.
It's all good, Rockets fan go after Kyle Lowry when he's a free agent in 2 seasons. The rookie excuse is played out tho.
How many teams are ready to give better assets for Lin? Everyone is lumping people together, LOFs vs Rockets fans. It's been like that from day one.
He's older than Harden, ironically. You can say what you will about not having enough minutes but it doesn't change the fact that Lin has less time before he reaches his physical peak. Most of us are upset because, again, we had two great PGs. Lin was supposedly an upgrade. We didn't expect him to be this terrible.
Was Lin really supposedly an upgrade? Rockets were in rebuild mode. Unless you were really sipping on that Linsanity koolaid, maybe Lin was supposed to be on par but nothing was set in stone to make it seem that he was going to be an upgrade over at least Lowry. It was all about the Rockets developing over time.
Harden is a great player and i really like him. But no Lin is not at Lowry or Dragic level but didn't Lowry want out? Is Lin really a Pg here or a spot up shooter? Can't the fans be patient a bit to see how he turns out before writting him off?
I wouldn't be opposed to benching Lin. Play against benches and you'll perform a lot better than against starters. Might be what it takes to snap Lin out of this slump. And once/if he starts shooting better he'll be miles better than TD.
Yes I agree, if not benching him, give him more time to play without Harden. People are saying that the Rockets are not using Lin right, so it gives Lin a different role and not having to defer all the time. Lin isn't shooting well, so it's clearly not working right now. Season is young and at worst, Rockets lose games which just improves that draft pick. Toney Douglas, as awful as he may be, coaches prefer his defense and if that's what they want, then might as well change it up sooner than later.
I've said this in this thread before: It's not that he's just not produced, he's looked utterly incompetent. In fact, the premise of this thread was the airball. Lin was killer during Linsanity so idk where this "he's not supposed to be as Lowry or Dragic" is coming from. FYI, Lowry and Dragic are both just 26. Who's asking Lin to just spot up and shoot, honestly? I've heard this many times before. He's doing that in games but is he actually instructed to? I asked Lin fans here before and they never supplied any evidence. Lin also does penetrate. The problem is that he doesn't finish or just passes it back out.
Because? His shooting percentage is ower than Lins? or because his assit to turnover ration is higher? or because he has less steals than Lin? Because hes averaging less points per game and minute? Really?
was that purely for basketball reasons? Trading away, letting go a bunch of Rockets players, and everyone assuming this team was going to tank, and still leaving room for another max player, I certainly think so.
Lins has been playing well until the last couple of games, just not shooting well... The reason the rockets are losing is defense....not offense Its the youngest team in the NBA....
