Rush Fly By Night Caress of Steel 2112 Farewell to Kings Hemispheres Permanent Waves Moving Pictures Signals Grace Under Pressure Power Windows Hold Your Fire Presto Roll The Bones Counterparts Test for Echo Vapor Trails Snakes and Arrows Clockwork Angels
My personal rankings (b/c, of course, all Rush geeks like me have to rank 'em): 1. Permanent Waves 2. 2112 3. Power Windows 4. Moving Pictures 5. Caress of Steel 6. Hemispheres 7. Presto 8. Farewell to Kings 9. Signals 10. Hold Your Fire 11. Clockwork Angels 12. Vapor Trails 13. Fly By Night 14. Rush 15. Snakes and Arrows 16. Counterpoint 17. Test for Echo 18. Grace Under Pressure 19. Roll The Bones (and Roll The Bones is great)
BOO!!! I'm not saying that GUP is their best album but #18?? C'mon man! Lee "Scratch" Perry -Return of the Super Ape Sun Ra - The Magic City
Afterimage, Kid Gloves, and Red Lenses never did anything for me. Red Sector A, The Body Electric, The Enemy Within, and the Wheels song (title escapes me) are great. Distance Early Warning is OK. I can name at least 5 great songs on every one on those other 17 CDs. Many Rush fans HATE, HATE Power Windows and I think it's better than Moving Pictures- I would get shot for that in some circles.

DEREK TRUCKS this guy has been in all my dreams the past few nights. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5FlOJXL4j6k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I thought about starting a new thread, butt' I thought I'd reach my target audience here. It's slightly off topic, so hopefully it doesn't piss anybody off. Due to crappy drivers, I'm stuck in a rental car for two weeks w/o my Sirius radio. I want to buy some music I'm not familliar with to immerse myself in. Since I have no other listening optionsm I will beforcec to give it a good, long, fair trial. Essentially I haven't really listened to any new music in depth for about 6-8 years. If any of you hipster types had to list a few of your greatest albums over that period, what would they be? And to remain in compliance with the thread's them, I'm currently listening to crappy radio stations, and the sound of myself pressing the 'seek' button in the vain hope of finding something worthwhile to listen to.
I would start a new thread as I seem to be the only one posting in this one, lol. I would start with Grizzly Bear as all of their stuff, especially their last 2 albums are very good.
Otto, Just download one of blalock's playlists. I'm sure that will be a few hours of entertainment. You'll get enough variation that it won't be overkill. Www.birp.fm
