Anyone else watching this farce of Louisianic Americana? I can't help but finding myself lol'ing at some of the crap these guys do...and yes, I do realize that this show is quasi-staged...but nonetheless, still laugh. http://www.aetv.com/duck-dynasty/ HEY! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_AD7pr0gfJY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I like Phil, he got pissed so he blasted the radio with his shotgun. All the beards on the show are magnificent. Bonus points for Mountain Man.
So I got sucked into watching several episodes last night. Not sure what to think about this show. Are these guys geniuses that are pulling our legs by looking the way they do? How do the 2 brothers have reasonably hot wives?
Phil the dad was the starting QB for LaTech. He quit football because it interfered with his hunting. He uses to show up late for practice with animal blood on his jersey. His backup on that squad...a guy named Terry Bradshaw.
I saw several Duck Commander shirts in Academy the other day. They are marketing this **** pretty well. Even I'd wear a shirt with Phil that says "If it flies, it dies".
Wouldn't you like to know. I caught the last episode...the Christmas episode. They went through photo albums. At least two of them (certainly the CEO brother) have been married for quite awhile and were beardless back when they first started dating. imo, the wives weren't way out of their league back then.
Used to watch the VHS tapes of Phil's Duck Commander series in college (late 90's) They were talking to him about playing ahead of Terry Bradshaw and his reply was, "Some guys go for the bucks, so guys go for the ducks"
My absolute favorite show on television. Phil literally looks and acts just like my deceased grandfather. Uncle Sy, dude is just awesome. Pretty sure he killed every enemy in Vietnam by himself. New episodes make me happah happah happah. I can seriously watch each episode over and over, no idea why.
Bingo. I watch it with my wife and kids and we all just laugh at how stupid their quasi-staged antics are. I used to lean toward Si as my favorite...but I'm starting to think Jase might be the funniest guy on there. He starts so much **** just to rile up Willie's feathers.
Because three of the four Robertson brothers (Alan, Jace, and Willie) got married to their high school girlfriends. Willie and Korie have actually known each other since grade school. Jep on the other hand met his wife after highschool but still married a few years after graduating. Needless to say this time period was a while ago before the beards and mountain man persona totally set in due to Willie's early marketing of their business and their appearances where drastically different and much more "yuppy" as their dad would put it.
Yeah, pretty much agree. Jase (younger brother, not the youngest though, correct?) sounds like the redneck version of Jerry Seinfeld. For some reason, maybe it's because I watch is so damn much, I find myself kind of talking like him. It blooows...my mind.
We watch it as often as its on... even though we probably have seen every episode three or four times we still laugh at every episode. I like the youngest son's wife the best, but they don't give her as many lines as Willie's wife or Jase's wife. btw, I have seen her in early photos and she was definitely smoking hot back then, but agree Kori wasn't as nice looking as she is now (Jase's wife was pretty nice looking when they got married). SI is actually married too, but she has avoided being on the show (and he has only mentioned one child once so far). It definitely is a guilty pleasure, but some of the story lines are pretty funny (Willie's daughter's dating and driving lessons). And anything involving Mountain Man.
I'm a pretty big Mountain Man fan myself. They showed one of my tweets on screen during the last episode of season 1. Pretty awesome
