He was wide open. Just because Lin airballed it that one time doesn't mean it's a bad shot.

 

Look, Lin was playing like garbage, but TD is literally the worst PG in the league (sans his final shot tonight)...if there was a competent backup on this team, I say you bench Lin when he's struggling, but not for TD, never for TD. Being benched for TD will destroy anyone's confidence.

 

lets see how lin plays on friday that game will define him

 

I am fine with Sampson, Lin had a bad night, bench him, a good decision. But don't if he has a good rhythm.

We don't need to change the "Players", just one player. Lin needs to go.

 

if Harden could just cut down on his turnovers and make slightly better decisions, he'd could take it to another level. 5 steals is great but 6 TO?

 

Why should Lin get special treatment? He wasn't playing well, so coach decided to put in someone else. No one would complain if Sampson did the same with any of the other players on the roster, outside of perhaps Harden who is a more established player that produces.

 

i agreed when we went down i was like here we go again. really surprised we won. hate to say it but possibly if jlin is in he would have missed that shot since his confidence is gone and shot gone also.

sad i have such high hopes, not all is lost but needs to turn it around.

You mean making the right choice to sit Lin? Yea, that's wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I still think Lin should've played in OT but tonight, he deserved to be benched.

Lol, TD played awesome down the stretch, but he shouldn't be starting over Lin - talk about knee-jerk.

That being said, Lin is going to get eaten alive by this board tonight. "Jeremy Lin is a joke" type threads will be covering this board, whereas I think there should be more "Parsons is awesome" threads, but there seems to be some Lin Love/hate fixation on this board.

I am with you on this however IMO, assistant coach Sampson didn't utilitze him as the entire his time coach for McHale. Yes Lin suck because of the coaching staffs.

 

It was a mistake.....Lin is the future point gaurd on this team...hopefully and you cant screw with his confidence...you have to build a guy whens hes struggling....big mistake

 

hopefully lin can step it up against his old team. If he doesn't get fired up against them, I don't know if he ever will.

 

Grind out win for the Rockets, huge props. This is a confidence boost after those losses, except for Lin. But on the other hand, since we finally won, Lin doesn't need to kick himself so much. He's got to figure himself out, and get back his faith in himself.

Lin played his worst game since I was following him as Linsanity started. He might have to come off the bench in the upcoming games. TD may have taken that starting role in this game.

Lin's PER is a good 7 points down from last season...... Ouch.
