Anyone else here think the NETS are bad matchup for the Lakers tonight?

I wouldn't complain about the refs. They gave Reggie Floppins two fouls...Hack-a-Dwight is never a good option, it takes away all the momentum which a team like the Net's need.

Brooklyn shot the ball very well, but LA's been turning up their D in the last few games I noticed. The Lakers just played with more effort down the stretch, and some of you guys are acting as if they didn't deserve to win. That turibble

Standard Laker dislike, and it looked like a phantom call to give the Lakers the win. (The replay I saw during the game was at a terrible angle, so it may very well have been legit.) Contrast that call vs. the offensive foul non-call from CP3 and it can be frustrating as a fan of basketball to watch such inconsistent whistles - especially those that decide games.

But, both teams looked terrible in the 4th and neither 'deserved' to win or lose.

On that play, the defender moved into the jumpshooter (Kobe) space by inching under him, so technically that is a foul. I would agree that the refs didn't do a great job overall. Hope Reggie Evans gets fined for that egregious flop.

Looking terrible doesn't mean they aren't playing hard. When you slow the game down by hacking Howard every time down, it takes away from the Nets offense (Dwill cooled down significantly as example), and even decent looks, which they didn't get much of in the 4th, begins miss. The Lakers just have bad shooters...Or rather supposedly decent shooters that aren't hitting **** these days. Surprisingly MWP had a great game on both ends of the floor, and was really the player of the game.

Gasol had a good game stats-wise. But his overall hustle wasn't there, and that lack of effort almost cost them the game. Don't know why the Rockets would want him, he's a third fiddle at best now.

Glad to see hackashaq failing again... The Nets had this in the bag until they used that idiotic strategy to give the tired Lakers rest and not force them to defend in transition, which had been killing them all game. The superstar ref love is just icing on the cake.

The Lakers are old and slow and no offense is going to hide that. They'll be gassed by the end of the year and are a second round exit at best.
