You would think owners are all for changing jersey designs as often as possible so they make more money off jersey sales. I think in Les' case, he wants that Rockets flagship player on the roster to ensure that they sell as many new jerseys as Yao's and Tmac's sold - so we may not see an update until we get that guy. Good news is it's not too far away - just another year or two I expect. (Harden's not doing it for them, I guess)
Lol, we've had harden like 3 weeks. Even if your theory has merit, which i dont agree with, that last point doesn't.
The Rockets should totally hire this guy to design our jerseys. Would love to have new uniforms next season which would incorporate a combination of a retro and modern design. Prefer the early to mid 90's rockets font/lettering. Just need new sleek lines and design to our uni's.
This may be the first time everyone likes the design and colors. I just don't like the font. Doesn't matter though, since Les doesn't listen to fans when it comes to uniformn and logo designs. It actually makes more sense to do it after they get such a player, so that fans will buy more of the current stuff and then have to buy it again with the new design.
Yes, the Rockets may very well want to wait until next year before thinking about implementing another redesign, as they can see how the Astros retro revival goes (in terms of jersey sales). Perhaps they'll get some ideas or strategies to implement (or certain things to avoid). I do think the current Rockets look is a bit bland and tired (logo, font, jerseys), but I'm not sold on the team going all retro either.
Don't mean to be annoying by bumping this thread, but I wanted to share these new uniforms I'm playing with on 2K13 (did not make them myself): More in the spoilers: Spoiler
Not a fan of the first 4 with Harden, Lin, Patterson, and Parsons. The other ones are not bad though.
All uniforms in this thread from the ballin dream2franchise magnificent jerseys to nba2k13 ones are better than what we got... Props to project 34
Does anyone know if the retro jerseys we currently have (ketchup+mustard) still have the same wide type shoulder as our normal jerseys? (the ones that make it look like a sleeveless tshirt/vest rather than a singlet) Rep for correct information.
on-court retro's never had those wide shoulders? the ones made for sale do look like a sleeveless tshirt though! even the swingman version
