To DirecTV customers with NBA League pass in Houston or surrounding areas:

I've been able to watch ALL Rockets games (Home/Away) on the opposing team's TV network. I live in Baytown so it's not too far away.

Luckily football teams can't do things like that because of the tv rights deals the NFL works out.

I live relatively close to Baytown. The games where blacked out when I had DISH and now with DirecTV they're still blacked out.

Granted I don't have LP. Congrats to you though.

I don't believe either one of you, dontcha know nobody actually lives in or near Baytown. (or any other places east of the loop) :p

Seriously tho, we should find someone with comcast out here and all go invade their place.

Well, to be fair and accurate....East Harris Country is what makes Houston the Energy Capitol of the US. A majority of the plants and refineries are outside the Houston city limits.

People in Houston love the good economy that comes with the petrochemical industries, but hate the pollution/smells that come with them. Can't have one without the other.

What concerns me is that now that we are 11 games into the season, is there even a sense of urgency on either side? I thought there would be before the regular season opener, and that date came and went.

Maybe the thing to do is to not complain at all anymore, forcing comcast to lower their price to the other providers.

I'm sure the advertisers just love that their commercials are not being seen by 60 percent of the city. Surely the advertisers are getting a discounted rate since they know their products and services are being seen by less eyeballs.

I didn't even bother to watch the game last night.

What I hate the most is even if this gets resolved, I still have to watch a Comcast product.

Don't forget about the rest of us; from people I know it seems like about 90% of the state of Texas is out of the Comcast loop. Their coverage area is tiny. I can't conceive of the Rockets agreeing to this arrangement. They could not have picked a worse way to deal with their fan base. The tens of thousands of loyal fans that have followed the team for years are screwed and how are they going to build a new fan base when so few people can see the games. The Rockets are going to lose and lose big.
