Definitely eerily quiet...No word on how the meeting went and no tweeting for the last 11 hours. There's no telling if things are actually settling down or if **** just totally hit the fan.

Guess we should hear something today.

Phil Jackson may be only one of the few coaches that could save this kid's career due to his reputation, philosophy and personality.

I guess the 'stop tweeting' was communicated loud and clear.

Agree 100%. He thinks he's helping people with mental illness, but it's actually the other way around. He's making life more difficult for them. Heck, if I am an employer, I will now hesitate to hire a person with mental illness figuring I might hire someone like Royce White and try to "destroy" the company's reputation.

The fact that he's gone totally radio silent, and nothing is being reported tells me that he's probably going to remain a Rocket for the time being, and will probably report to RGV sometime this week.

I just hope there is a fine line being drawn here, so next time this kind of thing happens... 3 strikes, your out. Should be fun to watch in RGV though. His brand of basketball should fit right in. In the NBA, not so much right now.

No hesitation from me. I won't even call them for an interview.

Maybe Morey was able to put him away on a 5150. Clearly something is going on as he's shut the fck up.

It's a valid observation. White was pissing and moaning up through the weekend, and was going to meet with Morey yesterday for some sort of resolution to this.

Since? Not a tweet for the last 18 hours and counting. And the person that helps the most is Royce White.

We don't know if Morey my-way-or-the-highway speeched him or what may have been said, but it seems to have had a positive effect on White so far.

My guess: White walked into Morey's office, and a real doctor emerged from the shadows. Two hours later:

Royce: So, this is what a real doctor can do. I'm so sorry, Daryl, I didn't know.

Hate to sound like a music snob, but Im gonna go ahead and go there...

My opinion changed of Royce White when I heard the band names OneDirection and Maroon5. Not that they are terrible musicians, or that anyone that listens to them isn't "cool" or "hipster" enough. Just that 2 & 2 didn't add up to the persona that Royce was trying to lead. My opinion changed in the fact that although he is well spoke, and sounds wise beyond his year, underneath it all he's just a kid.

He sold everyone on the fact that he's wearing the beard in honor of John Lennon and then when he was asked about the Beatles in an interview he was having trouble naming albums.

The guy might be a great musician or a famous screen writer in the future, but right now it seems like these are very new passions he's very new to, and he has yet to really find his niche. Basketball is something that comes to him naturally and he rejects the notion of exploring that world in as a professional. Maybe he cant handle the mental aspect of the game off the court, maybe he's just board with it... I dont know.

What I do know is that he obviously wants to be doing other things with his life, and the more that people around him pressure him to do what he doesn't want to do, the more resentment he's going to have to those "father figures", bosses, or older peers that push him to do what he doesn't want to do. These are issues that kids often have in their teens when there fathers push their sons too hard in baseball, etc., and it causes resentment.

To me, this just seems like an immature kid trying to find his way in the world. The GAD, OCD, PTSD issues are just a side story. A condiment, and a garnish to the drink he refuses to swallow..... Growing up, being a man, and facing the responsibilities of adult hood.

Royce might come back to the team this week, and give it another try, but the overwhelming consensus I see here is that this really isn't what Royce wants to do, and until he seeks out his other passions first his heart just isn't going to be in it. I hope he finds treatment, and a balanced life outside of the NBA. Its true that the NBA stands for No Boys Allowed, and the truth is that's what Royce is... just a kid. The mental illness is just an added element to the story.

Not necessarily. I think he's just trying to find himself like any young person does.

Maybe he saw Prometheus and decided he wanted to be a screen writer. But if you put him on stage at comic con with Ridley Scott, and Steven Spielberg to talk about character arcs, and cinematography in movies you would find out quickly who the newbie is in the room.

The guy is just trying to find himself in something, he just doesn't know what yet, so he flip flops all over the place. He has talent in basketball, but is rejecting it like lots of young people do when they are growing up.

That just goes to show me that he doesn't know any better. That's all he knows now and thats ok. Just PLEASE PLEASE nobody introduce him to The Cure. Last thing we need is Royce trying to pull off the Robert Smith look.
