[video games] Black Ops II

Like Willis said, the game is HUGE on objectives...and that is why I think the game is better than any other COD. If you want your killstreaks, you cant sit around and wait for people to come to you...you have to go out and shoot down air support, capture flags, cap flags, pick up tags, etc...

Also, if you shoot someone, you get 100 points...but when you call in a killstreak, the points you get from a kill ranges from 15-25 points. Since you get killstreaks based on points, the kills you get from your killstreaks are not that helpful. Basically, you need to kill someone with your gun...or achieve an objective.

And for that reason, I think the game is better than previous cods, because then you dont have kill whores that care about getting their K/Ds as high as possible. I think those people would not enjoy the game because they arent used to playing a team game.

 

I play Domination on Black Ops (the first version) with my son all the time, and always laugh at the guys with 100 kills and no plants or defuses. I'm glad they provided a disincentive for that.

 

So apparently there is no more Nuketown 2025, it was pulled from the creator and can only be played in custom games. Im so pissed off it is not even funny. This is the only reason I preordered the game is for nuketown. DOes anyone know how to email or somehow get a hold of the creators? I want so compensation for my loss lol this is beyond rediculous. I am 100% sure that i am not the only person to preorder this game for nuketown.

 

Maps are pretty wack. Most of the layouts are obviously from BO1.

Ill still play the **** out of it.

I just noticed that tonight while I got on...total horsecrap. I forgot the guys name, but the COD community will definitely let him know about it. Treyarch is pretty good with the community, so Im sure something will be done. No way they get rid of Nuketown...that's the only reason I pre-ordered the game, otherwise, I would have just waited for the game to come out.

Yeah it pisses me off too. They made it sound like it was permanent .

 

I dont understand the harm in keeping Nuketown up like it had been...80% of the games I was playing were on Nuketown.

 

No this game is a spammers wet dream.

It used to be panick spammers and such were jokes of FPS. Now its spam UAV, spam shock sticks, spam shooting.

Biggest problem are the maps and spawns. You can't play this game tatically at all. Its run find a corner spam. Run spam, run spam.

All the maps are tiny walkways, and the enemy is spawning all around you. Forget flanking around enemies, its impossible.

 

I'm getting that season pass for 50 bucks. Includes all future maps and stuff.

 

Wow is that **** for real. I thought you got double xp just by playing the game not just nuketown 24/7. Only reason I pre ordered is for the map and they take it out? What if I want to play nuketown with the general public? Not a lot of my friends play black ops. That's so dumb.

How is any of this different than previous CODs?

In fact, if anything, Im using less tactical and lethal grenades because I'd rather use those slots for attachments to my guns. I dont think this is nearly the spam fest, in relation to other CODs, that you are making it out to be.

Yes, there are more UAVs this time around than other CODs...but that's for campers to worry about. I welcome that part of the game.

 

Did you play or like the original black ops?

imo, if you like to push hard for objectives, you'll get rewarded...and you'll like this game.

I think its very balanced, you have lots of customization options, and I like the small maps. Lots of action.

Initial impressions of most of the youtubers (the guys getting paid to show you their gameplay) are very positive. There are a few guys that think its okay, but most of the guys think this is the best COD after COD 4.

Curious.... if I pop in my COD4: Modern Warfare for PS3 will I be able to play online still?

 

There is a difference in playing tatically by sweeping around, checking corners, holding area's and giving your team room to move.

Every map is basically three pathways. Everything is funneled into these three passages. Everyone is spawing everywhere. It makes it a giant cluster ****.

Sniper rifles ridiculous. They increased the ability to use the auto aim and just randomly pull off shots without having to aim. Half pull to aim, and fire. Add to that they made sniper rifles semi automatic ballistic rifles.

Seems the magnets that make grenades chase you are increased now. Watch a kill cam as it shakes from left to right to find its target.

Yes there were aspects of this in all CoD's, but Treyarch likes to listen to fools who just want to run around a map spraying bullets. This series used to be great with great maps, where teams had to play as a team to achieve objectives. This is just spray and pray. Its just garbage.

 

I don't see why not. I still play MW2 on Xbox. Considering the amount of members online every time I log in, it seems like it's still a very popular game.

Edit: Was it intentional for the graphics to make it feel like you're in a cartoon? Something felt very off about BO2, which is why I went back to MW2.
