Guess what? And Harden had the reign in that OT loss to the Blazers. And there ain't no high altitude fatigued Asik in that Blazers game like he was last night.
Rocks on, Roxxy! Totally agree! I've said the same thing several times. Except Lin and Harden, the players on this team have no idea how to set proper screens and picks. Where screens are concerned, the bigs are most important and Asik hasn't got a clue yet - he has a long way to go on offensive schemes and sets. This is a very young team. Team chemistry is not there yet, and player skills need to develop hand in hand. Give them time to grow together, and it will take a year or two. Just look at how many years it took OKC to get to where they were last season. So I'd refrain from making any judgement call until at least the end of this season.
Sure, they need time to develop, but Morey should get some veteran presence on this team pronto. I mean, other than Delfino. A veteran backup PG would be a good start.
From what I saw Lin was attacking the basket at will... Beating his man off the dribble in every possession in 1st half.. 2nd half cut the deficit by 10 only to sit him down for Tony Douglas, momentum had to take a backseat as well...
Damn, I'm good. Lin shot 33%, Harden wasn't really into the game, and Morris scored in double-digits off the bench. I should have known that Patsquatch would get less than 2 rebounds. Next time I'll make that call too. I'm going to the game on Wednesday, so here's to hoping a different team shows up for that game.
Next time up a bit of your expectation if it works well again, haytradamus.Especially on lin's shooting and ppat's rebounds
Yep, that's about 20+ of production for you right there.. If it wasn't for the flu, we'd beat the Jazz on their homecourt....
Our defense has been pretty bad since Sampson took over. Can't have teams scoring 30 points in the first quarter.
yikes. kinda harsh. give the kid some time, i'm sure he'll improve his shooting. in lin's defense, however among all PGs in the entire NBA, he is currently ranked #12 in assists/ #7 in steals/ #3 in blocks/ #2 in rebounds. that's pretty damn good imo.
If we had a healthy Harden we would have won that game easy.If our bigs could set proper screens/picks Lin wouldn't have had to outrun the Jazz players like he was Usain Bolt. Sampsons coaching leaves a lot to be desired.
Lol, it's true. Man if this team has the Likes of Tyson Chandler & the young Amare then it will make Lin & James' life much easier.
I appreciate that, but ask yourself -- how could you see that tweet and not the correction afterwards? Take Jeremy Lin out of the equation: Why in the world would I deliberately tweet a bad stat? It would reflect poorly and anyone can easily double check it and prove it wrong. This is what I wrote: I hate threads that talk down to the board like everyone here is of the exact same opinion. This is what I meant: I hate threads that talk down to the board like everyone here is of the exact same opinion. Why there is deeper meaning attributed to that (such as that being an attack on the points he was making rather than how he was saying it) is truly beyond me. All of these points are fair. I think Sampson has touched on this some though, like on how Lin is still working on going to his left. Right now I think the Rockets need Harden beyond just the standard two-guard role, and that means running the offense, especially the pick-and-roll, at times. Many fans have blamed Harden for Lin's troubles. I don't know what your goal was with this, but none of this "iron fist" stuff is necessary here. You know how I know you're new? I don't think you have any idea what "merge" means.
Lack of rebounding at the 4 is KILLING this team. When Parsons has to Avg 7 RPG then you have a problem. We need rebounding off the bench and for all the praise Jones gets here he offers NONE. That include Morris too.
