I love this idea! The videos are great. I hope that you'll improve on your negotiating skills and eventually start to get yes's from these crazy requests.

    Kudos!

Once you get it updated a bit, you should submit to reddit. This is the kind of crap that they go ape-**** over, and all the popular sites like boingboing, neatorama, and gizmodo mine reddit for content, while all the major media outlets mine those sites for content.

Seriously, you could potentially take this idea in profitable directions with a little luck.

Easy. Bring traffic to a website, sell ads, sell a product (eBook), sell something. If you have traffic it can always be monetized.

Where is this Krispy Kremes in Austin? Is it the one by campus?

I like it! It helps for someone who's shy or easily discouraged.

Just curious, DeAleck, would you have tried this (Krispy Creme) if there's a long queue?

It's north on 183 and Spicewood Springs. I drove by it on my way to work in the morning and got the idea, and did it on my way home in the afternoon.

It depends. I don't want to stand there to explain/negotiate for a long time, so other customers can't buy doughnuts. Also the store employees would be less likely to fulfill my requests during busy hours.

Haha wow, not only is this pathetic but pretty much the opposite of my life. Probably stems back to my days as a child model dating older girls, but being so smooth with such a nice butt and handsome face, men and women find they can't say no to me. The secret is .. there is no secret. Even if I was unattractive or dumb, I would find ways to channel my energy so that it puts smiles and orgasms on the faces of others. This is feel good emotion gets through to people of all races and socioeconomic positions, even the most tightly wound Asian men.

Don't write it off due to my superior genetics. Take accountability for your cynical lifestyle and push yourself everyday. You'll never reach the mountain top, but you'll feel a hell of a lot better than those forever glued to the bottom with a bottle of Prozac in one hand and their balls in the other.

    Just live it.

Your schtick is old and tired. Obviously you are just a huge troll, but at least try to be an entertaining one.

Wow.. this is crazy and amazing at the same time. Even watching the part of the video where you had to wait for over a minute for someone to open the door made me cringe - it almost felt like I had to knock on someone's door myself while expecting a sure rejection, and much worse..

It's really a great project.. So after 6 days, do you think you have already learned to take rejections less personal? More importantly, do you think you will be able to take rejections better in real life when your mindset is completely different, i.e. it's not just some crazy experiment, instead what you are asking for could really have an impact on your life?

Thanks, swu. My wife didn't dare to watch anymore when it got to the part that I was approaching the door and starting to knock.

As for the effect on me, to put it this way: there is no way in hell I would have done this on Day 1. But on Day 6, I felt composed and confident. No, I'm not some superman who can sell ice to an Eskimo yet, but I can knock on some stranger's door to play soccer in his backyard. When it gets to Day 100, who knows what I will do? I certain don't.

I really like this thread. It might even be my favorite. You are very courageous. I would not be able to do any of those!
Good luck! Hope you overcome your fear! :)
