Yes, he's a role player this year. Go watch the Heat . I'm not a half-empty guy. I'm a realistic Rocket fan. Do you want to be like Knicks fans and always think they are contenders??? I'm not some homer who thinks Lin is going to be a an all-star and Harden is going to be a superstar and we're going to make the playoffs and make noise. After the Harden trade, I thought we're moving in the right direction. We finally got one all-star (although I project him to be a #2 at best on a contending team), and now we should be looking for that true elite player (a true franchise player). But we're nowhere close. We're still too young, and not skilled enough at the key positions.
You are one of the only people I've ever seen make any sense on this thread. most of these dudes are delusional.
Clutch is a Rockets fan, but that doesn't mean he has to be a Lin fan. And he like any other individual has a right to an opinion. That's the very simple answer. Consider his post on allowing the "Jeremy Lin is a joke" thread, but locking up or closing others. If you don't like Clutch's opinion or moderation, GUESS WHAT, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Go to realgm, prosportsdaily, reddit, whatever. This is his site, and he's welcome to moderate it any way he wishes.
Icing his ankle and knee? http://www.deseretnews.com/article/...my-Lin-turns-out-to-be-a-dud-as-a-Rocket.html
Ok? Cavs are also young (younger than Blazers, older than Rockets) and Kyrie is playing like a boss since last season and they're 2-8. What is you point? And did Portland also have to go back to the drawing board 2 days before the season started with the addition of their new star player? are they currently under an interim coach who seems unable to coach his way out of paperbag as well?
What does any of what you said have to do with Jeremy Lin playing like trash? P.S., Kyrie is balling but who is he playing with. According to most of you, Harden is a superstar. Kyrie doesn't have that. He is the Cavs.
Clutch's second post doesn't relate to me. And I'll let him boot me out if he sees fit. It's his site, as you said.
That's what I asked you, what do the Blazers' have to do with this discussion? Yes Lillard is playing totally ~LINSANE, all 10 games of his rookie career, who probably hasn't even been scouted yet, and? And according to me Harden is NOT a superstar yet, does he have the potential? I absolutely think so. It's still too early to say, Im not a knee-jerking idiot ready to call anyone a superstar or bust after 10 games playing under a new system and teammates.
How the f-ck do you guys continue to watch these games? It's like a broken record, a sh-tty broken record, played over and over and over again. Lin brings it up, immediately coughs it up, Harden dribbles away for fifteen seconds and throws up a brick from 25 feet out, or goes 1 on 5, travels ten steps, and hopes he doesn't get called for yet another TO. Or, chandler bricks it from 24 feet out. Meanwhile, Lin is standing in the corner, hoping no one passes to him. Terrence Jones is falling asleep on the bench. The rockets are a bad joke. The offense is the dumbest I've ever seen on a team I've followed. Sampson is so f-cking stupid it's incomparable. Yes, it's "only" 11 games (do these games not count?), and yes, the rockets are the youngest team in the nba, but you can't watch the same crappy basketball every game and not notice how stupid sampson is. Fire his half white, half black completely stupid fat a--!!!!!!
That's a very bad comparison. Of course a team with one starter missing won't do well, unless the team's so deep that it can field a capable replacement. We are not that team. A fair comparison would weigh the Rockets with James Harden versus the same team with Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb. I think both versions of the team would do about as well, at least for this year, as KMart playing for a contract is a sight to behold, and we would get some scoring off the bench from Lamb.
Clutch, you have to understand you are not supposed to have any personal opinions about the team and players, fair or not fair. You are the founder and administrator of the site and fans here just don't treat you as a regular poster. They hold you to the highest standard. You are like the court judge or the ultimate arbitrator here on the forum. It's very natural you have your own opinion of every player, just like the president and court judges have their own private opinions on a lot issues but they never display that in public. You have been doing a great job of being fair minded and mostly only post/report news and facts of the team and its players. I personally like to read any comments you put in different threads because I'm curious of your opinions on those issues. But I guess not every one here feels the same way. Any comment you put here, if there is a slightest hint, it can be interpreted as biased or favoritism which may not be true, but that's just how it might appear to some people. I understand as a passionate basketball/team fan, it's hard to refrain from posting personal opinions here. The best way is maybe to just register a new screen name. That way, you don't have to be very cautious about everything you write here or worry if your comments may come off as unfair. You can even talk trash like many fans here do to just vent the frustration after we lost a game.
I was joking when I posted on the "Jeremy Lin is a joke" thread said the thread will be locked if Title "James Harden is a joke". and I just find out you actually merge threads "Harden is clueless" and "James Rambo Harden" because of the title... sorry but this is so obvious... lol
Clutch, time to put the ban hammer down and weed out the trolls, they've made this place so unbearable with their delusional posts
