I think this entire Lin thing is false expectations. Many new fans here expect him to be a star PG, and team up with Harden to be one of the best backcourts in the league. So by those expectations, he's massively under-performing.

If you take a step back and have fair expectations (decent player, will improve as the year goes along), you'll be fine.

If you're going to make a point, at least make it with facts.

Raymond Felton never played a WHOLE season, he got shipped to Denver as part of the Melo deal during his first year as a Knick.

In all these games the opposing team had 1 or 2 guys that couldn't miss from 3 point land. For us to keep up we need the same. Nobody else on the team is consistent.

Those 3 pointers are important to break the morale of the opposing team.

Harden was sick and it was a back to back. I didn't expect this to be a victory.

He actually is a strong isolation player he was like top 10 in isolation. And jumpers off the dribble were one of his better skill set last year. And he is also very athletic the amount of people that say he isn't baffles me that is why I didn't even respond to his post. Once he said Lin isn't quick which anybody with eyes & ears can see is a lie I just decided not to waste my time. Your more than entitled to your own opinion but you aren't entitled to your own facts.

Anyway, screen setting is the biggest issue on this team & I am surprised how few people have brought it up. It is pretty glaring how that holds guards back from scoring effectively.

    Stop being so childish
All I see is people asking for patience on the kid for those who unrealistically expect him to play like an all-star while playing with the youngest team in the NBA. Are you that incapable of having a decent discussion without dismissing anyone that doesn't agree with you as a "LOF"?

See, I can do that too! Dwayne Wade is averaging 17/5 this year, are those role player's numbers?
My point was he was already projecting our entire team as a bunch of role players with no where to go but downhill from here. Arm chair talent scouting at its worst. If you wanna be a half-empty kinda guy that's all on you.

Look, I'm not saying he's a bad player. A decent player can have an explosive night here and there. Hell, a decent player can string together a few weeks worth of good to great play. Rafer Alston did that for us for a couple months here and there during his tenure; Trevor Ariza had a great month in his last month as a Rocket (16/6/5 on 50% fg ,44% 3s).

Jeremy LIn is going to be a decent player for us. Just don't expect him to be an all-star.

Omer. I get he has bad hands & can't set proper screens & whatever. But the NBA is a scoring league & people don't value defense as much. Without Omer we win zero games because of his defensive impact.

Agreed, except I'll take it a step further and say I believe Lin would be at his best in a backup role.
Energy, effort, and playmaking off the bench is ideal for a player of Lin's ability. Plus a bench role would help minimize his liabilities.

Portland is pretty young too. They actually have a rookie playing for them who is pretty much playing like an All-Star at the the point right now. They're also sitting at .500 right now.

Are you also incapable of understanding basic english?

As I've said on the part that you specifically cut off,
All I see is people asking for patience on the kid for those who unrealistically expect him to play like an all-star while playing with the youngest team in the NBA.
Show these "butthurt" comments you speak of

Okay, let me get this straight: You are saying that right now Omer Asik (who is quickly becoming one of my favorite players ) is the best player on this Rockets squad?
