It's strange though because he is such a good one-on-one post defender. Usually when a power forward is "soft", they don't have that trait. I just think rebounding isn't his strength. I usually try to envision that player on a championship team, and perhaps I underestimate him, but I think Patterson could be a "first big off the bench" type for a contending team.
Is it too late to tank? Top pick, max contract player, new coaches, and training camp with everyone and next year we look like a real contender!
my problem is his effort. he just doesn't have that mentality. i guess it's mainly the frustration in seeing someone with potential just be so lazy. i'm not asking him to be dennis rodman but damn lol
McGrady got ran out of town after the fanbase rightly so booted his lying and soft butt out. Tmac was ten times the layer lin was or ever will be and he wasnt above all. Neither was Yao when he was struggling.
This first 11 games feels like deja vu all over again. Except this time, i'm happier with the team's direction.
Pat was pulling down the rebs ok when he was playing behind Scola. It could be that he's feeling too safe at the moment. That is, no one to try and beat out or a threatening his starter position.
You know what the Rockets badly miss guys? A 3 point shooter you can count on to hit the shot when he is open... Carlos Delfino.
Parsons is very talented but he makes some really dumb decisions sometimes. Like that 3 before any of his teammates were back to be in rebounding position? That is some Russel Westbrook nonsense.
Honestly it was obvious we were in trouble when most of the team couldn't hit a bucket. Parsons - 3/11 Asik - 0/5 Harden 1/6 T. Jones 4/12 Douglas 2/7 Even with his 5/15 shooting, Lin was our 2nd highest scorer with 13 and tied for our 4th highest percentage shooter behind PPat 8/14, Cook 2/5, and Morris 3/8. And Lin's percentages would have been higher if he didn't try to do a bit of hero ball at the end once we were down 22. (3 shot attempts between 8:18 and 5:52 of the 4th quarter starting once the team was already down 22 points.
Smith is tough as nails. Saw that game when he dislocated his finger. At first he didn't even know he dislocated it. Finally saw it and was as calm as can be.
He's had a couple of good rebounding games. I think he's just lazy sometimes. There are stretches where he doesn't even bother boxing out.
did you see what I posted? " No Lin fan is saying give him the ball and tell Harden to get out of the way." glad you agree with me.
