One can ask you the same. Did you see his turnovers in the 4th and the latter part of the third?honestly do you think lin was good or not?

Meh disagree. Him & Parsons were probably the only aggressive players out there on the court. He had a lot of really good drives & him & Omer had a little to man game action where he passed the ball to Omer & Lin moved off the ball Omer passed it to him & then lin tried to get the lay up. Patterson had a good shooting game but 1 rebound is embarrassing he was out rebounded by Lin again! Honestly I liked how after Omer had that air ball on the FT line Lin immediately went to talk to him. Omer was exhausted you could see it.

The whole team was atrocious. Was Lin that much worse than everyone else? But then again, Lin is your favorite player.

He was creating crap all out there. most of the points in the third werre from jones going one and one on offense.

Tonight was coaching. 2nd Portland game was coaching.

Team's down 23 after the 2nd unit, Lin comes in, gets his shooting up to 4/7 and the lead down to 10.

Sampson sits him for 1/2 a quarter and the half time.

In Portland he's putting up 11/11 on 3/8 shooting, and he sits Lin through the OT.

One of the most interesting comments Tim Donaghy made regarding the referee scandal was that Refs don't need to stack up alot of fouls to tilt a game one way or the other. The easiest way to make a team lose was to disrupt their rhythm. A few well timed fouls throws players out of their shooting and passing rhythm. This gives the other team an opportunity to mentally regroup and turn the tide.

Sampson's substitutions are doing the same thing. They are coming at poor times. He leaves in people playing poorly too long, and benches people playing well too soon. That in itself is enough to shift momentum and disrupt our offensive rhythm.

Now, if his goal is to just give the rookies maximum playing time that's fine. However, if that's his goal, then we're going to eat ALOT of losses.

Tbh not really. Smith looked the best of the 3. I like seeing Jones play and I don't mind Cook, but let's face it, Jones got blocked 4 times and Cook only made a long 3 (actually I guess he made a 2 as well, not sure how he got that one) but looked average. Team as a whole didn't play too well.

Lin's poor defensive game was magnified in this game. He was constantly losing his man and couldn't fight through screens. He just doesn't have lateral speed to recover or keep up.

Not being able to stop dribble penetration is kryptonite in the NBA. It has a flow down effect making the rest of the team look bad.

I'm really hoping Lin's contract and the possible need for cap flexibilty won't stop the Rockets from re-signing Parsons. Can we trade this guy already?

full control of the offense and you cite the success of Smith, Cook and Jones?!?!? Yea you give Jimmie Johnson full control of my neighborhood autoshop i'm pretty sure he's still gonna lose the worst nascar driver out there.

THe haters are shortsighted. No Lin fan is saying give him the ball and tell Harden to get out of the way. Look at the first couple games where Lin was able to make plays for others including Harden. THis team without Lin and just Harden would win what? 15-20??

I've been trying to avoid this thread, but couldn't help:)

This was a complete loss, really no need to blame one or two person, coach or players. Our best player is sick, instead of everyone stepping up, everyone sucked tonight. Yes, there were good moments from Patterson and Lin, but throughout 48 minutes, we didn't have a chance.

As someone said last night, we hoped that was our Philly game. Well, I hope tonight is our Philly game. But this team needs to sit together and talk. I don't think anyone is on the same page. I don't want to judge, but nobody seems to be able to bring the players together.

Sampson sucks, big time. Harden is our best player, but he's still too young to be a leader, on and off court. Jeremy is struggling big time, and he needs some leadership to help him overcome the slump. All those young players, they desperately need some guidance.

One thing puzzles me most about this team was, how come Morey or McHale never thought about getting some veteran leadership. They don't need to be Tim Duncan kind of leaders, but even players like our old Barry or Battier type, would be a leading presence in the locker room.

This team is lost, from top to bottom. They need some help.

Yeah agreed. That is the biggest issue on this team offensively. Surprised the coaching staff hasn't touched on it yet.

Yes Asik tries he isn't very good though. I love Omer so I cut him some slack on that score as well as his terrible hands.

Patterson is a mess. He actually refuses to come & set screens when the guard asks what the hell is that? I think Patterson & TD are going to be gone in a few months.

He was very solid in the first half.

In the second half he generated a TON of open looks for team mates, who bricked/missed a TON of shots including multiple point blank drop offs to Asik at the Rim (who as looking crap tired).

Lin only took one shot in the 4th until the 7th minute, when he attempted 4 shots in 2 minutes. 1 was blocked, 1 missed, he got the offensive rebound then missed the 2nd attempt. A misfired attempt to reignite the offense.

You really don't want to know how many OPEN looks people missed off Lin's passes.
