does the possibility of Jeremy Lin running the offense with James Harden on the court not exist? No one said make Jeremy Lin the #1 option.
asik really needs to learn to finish, he looks awful when he tries for lay ups or put backs. He misses like 80% of the time. Ugly game.
Yeah and Jeremy is also in the youngest team in the NBA currently under a clueless interim coach, what is your point exactly? P.S. I dont support the Dragic bashing, not sure why there would even be any to begin with
Man how much time we lose playing Lin as SG After 11 games our bigs and PF cant did a alley up... (except yesterday with Harden-Parson)... Any chemistry yet... Man, with this coaching staff we are going to no where Even with 10 years...
Asik looks tired out there... Sick is Harden... And Lin is still Linconsistently shooting... PPT got ONE rebound... Parsons is still improving... #theStarting5
All those blaming the coaching should take an honest look at this roster and temper their expectations accordingly. Go Rox!
Minnesota is playing good without Love, so the chances of him coming here via trade seem really low to me
Honestly, the timing would have been fine. Lin only ran 33 minutes tonight and their next game isn't until Wednesday. Lin wasn't remotely tired when Sampson pulled him. Sampson's substitutions are very predictable like clockwork. 10 mins in the first, sit until midway in the 2nd. Start him in the 3rd, sit him early in the 3rd, then start him in the 4th. It wouldn't have hurt to let Lin push a bit longer when they got within 10 to see how close it would have gotten. At the point they sat Lin the first time, he was shooting 4/7 and had the defense on the run. Just seems like it wouldn't have hurt to run him more minutes when they're pushing Parsons for close to 40 mins a game.
Lin's lateral movement looked a lot better this game. He should be taking more teardrop shots and get to the line more. He had about 7 would-be assists on missed open shots and layups. The team's biggest problem is Asik's endurance and who starts at PF. If the starting PF gets only one rebound and the starting center scores 2 points on 0-5 shooting, you're not going to win a lot of basketball games.
Under Morey, he has never fired a coach in the middle of the season. He believes it hurts the team and i agree with him. I know coaching might seem to be an issue right now but I remember last year our guys were having trouble with the offense and the overall system. Lowry didn't like McHale; They weren't listening to him so they ran Adelman's offense. But by the start of the all-star break we managed to be 5 or 6 games above .500 I think the system will come along as the season goes on. We still have plenty of games to play. It's too early to tell especially with the youngest team in the league.
maybe sampson should have sat eremy in the 4th. at least it would have saved is fg% a little i keed i keed
No one really bashes Dragic. Most people just say that losing Dragic for Lin (and I disagree with this) wasn't a big drop off. And you kind of just confirmed it. Both teams have the same record, but the Suns are veterans while we're a young, new team with an incompetent interim coach.
Current Rockets = D Leaguers with one extra year experience + some inexperienced NBA players. Awkward!
Defensive rotations seemed especially poor this game. Seems related to the bench players, but I wasn't watching that dimension of the game that closely.
