Yeah. I was doing my daily NBA website check and noticed we're down by double digits at the half. Yikes.
makes me so mad...stop the freaking high pick and rolll...that has not been effective at getting the roller the ball...and forced to take so many jumpers...they really need to practice playing Stockton Malone ball by using pick and rolls at the FT line...we arent able to punish the big for drifting so far away from the basket...This is when a big ball handler makes such a huge difference(ie...TMAC)... Since our size is a detriment the Rockets really should work on the Pick and roll inside the three point line...
I've been watching Ppat most of this half. He's halfass about boxing out, sometimes doesn't even head towards the boards and just watches the ball in flight, he's lazy on transition defense, gave up an easy dunk, and continues to set crappy screens (including a moving screen violation since he was trying to slip out early). He can shoot the midrange but the other parts of his game put him on my sh!tlist.
No... Devil's choice for McHale tonight. D'Antoni got thrashed in the media for playing Lin super high minutes... on the other hand, his back up PG option was Toney Douglas, so it's hard to hold it TOO much against him... If you're McHale do you just let Lin burn out the whole 2nd half for a shot at a comeback? Or keep using Toney Douglas?
