So how come players like Dragic and Lowry who are also with new coaches, players and system are doing so much better in comparison?

Just another excuse if you ask me.

You can make an argument for almost anything.

To date, Lowry has played in 363 career games. Dragic in 282 career games. Our boy here has only played 74 career games.

Patience is not a bad idea.

CXbby, weren't you the guy who said Jeremy Lin would continue his meteoric rise and continue to post historic numbers? Is this another example of you being wrong when it comes to basketball analysis?

I happen to know them all very closely :) they're related to my friend Logic. I should introduce her to some folks here who seem to have never met her.

I think the bigger sample size issue is that Jeremy Lin played 74 games in his career. Compared to 363 games by Lowry and 282 by Dragic. He's also two years younger than his predecessors.

While the above numbers may not mean anything to a contender, it is absolutely a huge factor when the team is rebuilding.

Sigh ... I miss Dragic (I know I'm inviting bashers). This must be one of the biggest FAILS of Morey. Imagine Dragic and Harden together.

I don't hate Lin; heck, I'm Asian and a Christian like him. But maybe, just maybe here is Lin regressing to the mean. This is closer to the real Lin than Linsanity ever was. Part of that is a recovering knee and part of that is defenses now know how to play him.

    This made me chuckle.

Anyway, our offense is a mess right now & the defense is nonexistent ever since McHale left LBJ himself couldn't fix this. It will take time for everything to figure itself out.

Just my complete uninformed speculation, but I still don't feel like Morey was the person pushing the Lin signing. If I recall correctly, Morey stated that Les was giving him hell about Lin when he was in NYC having his Linsanity. I mean what owner wouldn't give his GM hell in that situation. Who knows if we will ever find out if this was a Morey deal or a Les deal, but I'd love to know.

All that said....if Lin can develop his jumper for next season then I think he has the potential to improve significantly.

So many things were off. Rox players are tired, and weak interior and transition defense shows this. There were multiple times when the Jazz made full court passes and Rox were slow to get back, and even looked lost.

8 TOs by only the 9 minute mark in the 2nd quarter. By half time the Jazz was shooting 50%, and Rox only 35%.

Too many missed layups at the rim by too many Rox players. There were also multiple times when Asik got passes point blank below the rim and could not finish.

Wow Asik airballs a free throw and almost airballs the second?!

It seems like coaching may be having a difficult time trying to fit the pieces together on this team, which may be resulting in some confusion amongst the players. There are players that are superfluous in terms of playing style. There is no distinct power forward, no distinct lock down defender, and no distinct "physical" player.

    Hopefully Harden gets better soon.

hey Mr. Sample Size, what do you think about James Harden? he's shooting in the low 40s including the high 20s from 3. he even has NY Jeremy Lin's turnover rate. the sky doesn't seem to be falling for him, though. Patience will be unnecessary to see his percentages and turnover rate improve.

Maybe he should get his Thuglife tatoo on his shooting arm.

In other word, racist coaches kept Lin down for 10 games, but Lin overcame adversity and persevered through sheer willpower to get out from under his oppressors.

Uh, just because McHale was born and raised in Minnesota and played his career in Boston does not make him a racist. That is an incredibly ignorant and ridiculous thing to say.

Actually, the last I heard, the reason why the coaches wanted to keep Lin down was to save face and prove that their decision last year to cut him was correct. See, it is more of an egoist thing than racist.

Either way, Jeremy's courage in the face of this has been commendable.
