what time do people start lining up at a place like Best Buy? considering the doors open at Midnight and the ad says they start handing out tickets two hours before opening..
i assume there are people that will do this.. but anyone with experience know when the line actually be like, 100+?
New start team leaves doubt, and every Best Buy is different. A couple of years ago when BB opened at 4am, and I got in line for Toys R Us that was nearby at 8pm, I would have been amongst the first 10 in line. By the time 10pm rolled around (When Toys R Us opened), the line for BB was clear around the building, and I'd guess over 100 people were in line. I'd say if you aren't willing to wait at BB for 6+ hours, it isn't worth it. You aren't getting the big ticket items and most everything else will still be there, or get price match at Wal-Mart.
Got my BestBuy shopping done online this AM on the presale though it wasn't quite like I wanted. The site was swamped. I wanted to use the gift cards from my 2 nano purchases to get the Sammy 51 plasma price down to 437. Well i couldn't use the cards until they ship them to me. Also the Sammy was sold out by the time i got to it. So I ordered the Toshiba 50" LED for 399. i also threw the Sammy HT in a box for the upstairs playroom. I will keep shopping for a better TV for the son btween now and Christmas but if I strike out, he will just have to like it or take it back and throw in some of his Christmas cash to upgrade. All small items from here on out.

I wanted that 26" Insignia LED for $99 bucks. Of course the site crashed and now it just says "coming soon" which is code for "sold out".
Their site took quite a hit. Odd thing now is I can get the Samsung 51" plasma now when it told me before ii needed to remove it from my cart because they were out of stock...as if it just sold out. The Toshiba shows out of stock now. The site told me 799 on the toshiba until i went to checkout. What a mess of a site. I almost want to order the Samsung too and send the Toshiba back but I think I will wait. There is usually a pretty good sale a week or 2 before Christmas on tvs. I will see what some other sites (amazon/newegg/frys) have to offer. I do see that Insignia tv as a "coming soon". It may have been one of those deals that they are saving for in store people.
I just checked the Best Buy site again and I got the 26" Insignia for $99 bucks. It finally popped up in the cart! I know it's just an Insignia but it's exactly what I wanted for my office. Patience paid off and I kept checking the site every so often.
