looks like basketball just isnt going to happen for him anymore. Sad for such a talented player and great person I am sure
For God's sake, please Roy just stop At this rate he will end up in the wheelchair when his career is over if he keeps trying to tough it out.
I still remember that half court turn around buzzer beater like it was yesterday. Was a top 5 SG for sure IMO. Sad to see him deteriorate like this. But he never should have came back.
He just kneeds to call it quits. Give me $17 million and I'll let you take a crowbar to my knee. But in all seriousness it's a shame that his career never got to where it should have gone. He could do it all: handle the ball, pass, shoot, penetrate and finish, defend, hit clutch shots.
WOW FOR ROY! JUST WOW...MAN KAHN gambled BIG...and LOST on that one! speaking of what you said me 2....the longest .8 sec. home clock since....Well if you are a rockets fan you should remember this...IN A PLAYOFF GAME We WON ANYWAYS..."YES, HOW SWEET IT IS" "That's one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen."-THE LEGEND MR. Gene Peterson http://youtu.be/B0YoXt-mnug http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0YoXt-mnug I don't know why the embedding doesn't work half the time on my Mac...but those are the links, to another "Home Court Advantage"-Face it we got our revenge on Roy and crew that year! I can still remember Deke in the greatest legendary performance right before he tore up his knee, that did end him...I'll remember that shot, and the revenge, and Deke's contributions to game 1 that should, and the following injury to Deke the next game early in the game...That shot just reminds me of that whole season... Man...Roy was a great player, always liked him wish him the best -He should have never come back poor guy...but 5 mil for two years...guess that Kahn will have to amnesty him..assuming they haven't used theirs yet
I don't understand why everyone wants him to quit...i mean he has worked his whole life to get to the NBA and he would have wasted all that effort by quitting without trying his hardest to continue playing. I have to give him all the credit in the world for at least trying to continue.
This. You gotta respect a guy that's passionate about playing for the love of the game even though he's financially set for life. There's so many guys that want to comeback just for a paycheck or guys that can probably come back after a serious injury but choose not to because they already got paid or even worse guys that get paid and just go through the motions. I loved Roy when he was here in Portland.... Never cared about partying, making news for wrong reasons etc. Just a good guy that wanted to ball.
Who didnt see this coming? Its sad really to see such talent being dealth this crappy hand. But admiring also to see him risk his health to play the game he loves and risk it for his teammates. Then you have Royce freakin White. Far out man, just not right.
